But Nunan's gone for the remainder season.

Interesting to see one Mid Murray player in the zone squad but no Independent players.....didn't we win that game easily?
Would have thought at least Rob Smyth and Brad Horsell would've been candidates.
Both would walk in and be more than solid contributors in any RFL side.

DW being a solid contributor in an RFL team means your no where near getting selected for a squad like this???
Trevor Thorpe would towel up the blokes you mention and he's not there.

SS can you confirm that Berri beat Loxton. By Thursday if possible.

Apart from the medication comment you may be right, you may be wrong.
But if one MM player can make it, at least one of the Indy guys should have been at least given a chance to have a shot. They might not have made the final cut but deserved a chance to.
Both Horsell and Smyth have played at a much higher level than Indy footy and performed well in the past by all accounts. Not sure if you've seen them play?

Great that Beeri won.

Im with you Horsell should have been selected before the Mid Murray guy.

I hear Paringa had one good quarter. Can't win against Cobdogla like that

Cobby played very well for 3 quarters and Paringa had a down day like we all do once in a while

A gutsy win from Berri yesterday, and some encouraging contributions from some of their younger players. Pickering, Dawson, Eisenberg and Voigt all played a fair part in it.

Also, a successful Quiz Night at the footy club afterwards. 10 tables there (about 100 people) and everyone had a good time, so it's not all bad at Demonland. Hopefully that Berri in trouble thread keeps slipping down the list.

I'm not saying it does. But one gets the feel that they haven't been offered an opportunity because they do play Independent football.
The blokes obviously have talent and deserve a chance to show what they've got.

BTW - I'm not saying Baddack shouldn't be in the squad either.

Confirmed!!!
I think only two people in the Riverland tipped us, and here i was thinking Shezza(?) from magic FM was looking a little silly tipping us on the Radio in the morning and on a Kick with Nick that night!
It felt good to finally score one, although when the Tigerland song came blaring out of the speakers after the game, i think even our president was expecting the Tigers to win.
Pretty disappointed with the Loxton players for not getting back to the club afterwards.
To have just one opposition player (the captain) show up for a drink afterwards was disappointing.
I know us boys make a conscious effort to get at least 10 of us into opposition clubs after the game this year, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I'd have to agree SS. Full credit to Kruger for getting up there by himself. Barry Leathers gave him the bottle of wine for the best opposition player just for showing up. Disappointing from the others considering we have been into their clubrooms after some 100 point plus hidings over the last couple of years, and hadn't beaten them for 4 years before Saturday.

Shezza from Magic was fairly pumped up this morning. Put Grand Old Flag on twice, so she was a bit better at pressing the correct button than Baz was on Saturday.

That was pretty funny.
Poor Baz.
Interested to hear some thoughts on the Loxton players running laps of the square after the game.
Do you think it was necessary?
Apparently it was punishment and not a warm-down.

Not really East Murray player in big trouble broke B.Healys jaw in 2 places went to adelaide yesterday to get it wired, i hear there might be charges made.

Isnt it funny on the radio & news today & tonight how they rave on how cobbys back after beating paringa, they got beaten by Lyrup no excuses players out or not, both teams had players missing, cobby can be beaten, and lyrup showed that hard, smart football wins you games doesnt it recollect?

FS - what did you want them to do, not sing Cobby's praises after beating another challenger to their crown?

Yep, you guys beat them last week, but don't get too cocky mate. Although I must admit I love seeing what you'll come out with next, it does provide some entertainment.

Typical Lyrup supporter/player comment.
Can't chase someone up the field to punch them in the jaw either. very intentional
Don't know how you could chase someone with a broken jaw anyway.

On the cobby game who did Lyrup have out.
