Huizink is a gun, (but keep that quiet) tough defender and great closing speed but is home for 2, away for 2 with work so when he gets back hes usually slotting into the 2s as to not unsettle the side.

Matty Bennett is as big a pick up as anyone and we are lucky to have him back. Champion fella also!!! His skills for a bloke his size are impressive and has a great understanding of the game. Finals are a different kettle of fish, injuries, form can all play there part come September which i think we proved last year. Compass this weekend with 3-4 qulaity players in for them has us keen as mustard to take them on.

ROUND 10 JUNE 21ST
WILLUNGA V MT COMPASS
ENCOUNTER BAY V LANGHORNE CK
MYPONGA/SELLICKS V VICTOR HARBOR
MCLAREN V STRATHALBYN
YANKALILLA V SAINTS

Willunga to get up, Bomber Ryan back and hopefully kicks a bag
Creeks, will be a close game but still think they have the quality to get over the improving Bays.
Victor, classy midfield, need a big forward to step up!
Strath, Quick and skillful with enough height to worry Mclarens, will Cowling kick another bag???
Saints, the tide has to turn for them and they need the win to get off the bottom!

Have Encounter Bay improved much though? Rumour has it that it may be there coaches last year?
Bomber Ryan is built for kicking bags of goals should be interesting what Compass do to counter him and Hams.

Just by looking at the round ahead with only 5 games thats a big difference to the SFL with 8. Would you guys like to play more teams or you are happy with the current standard of all 10 sides?

I reckon 10 sides in absolutely ideal. Play everyone twice, once at home, once away. It's good that half the sides play finals too. Keeps it interesting for the lower sides until the last few rounds.

Now that we are at the half way mark of the season and everyone has played each other once can you see any games that might have a different out come the next time they meet?

Willunga to stay undefeated
Creeks to get over Yank next time they meet
Compass can they match the start they have had and be 14 & 4 after 18 rounds?
Strath may be able to get over Creek, should get over Compass also

Victor and Bays fighting it out for 5th spot will be a run all the way to round 18. Both these sides will struggle to get over the line against any of the top 4 sides but all other sides can play a very big role in deciding who gets 5th spot. Bays were tested by the saints and then lost by 2 points to victor and they also pushed strath, Victor were lucky to get the win over the bays and were also pushed by Myponga and the saints had a late fade out to them. Mclarens, Myponga and Saints have allot to prove and have all shown some class at times and will play a big role in the victor VS. bays race. Yank have showed one game so far, can they do it again?
After seeing the Yank upset over Creek anything could happen so it looks like we are in for a great race into September!!

Not trying to start the rumours this is something I heard from someone pretty close to it all. I know he is a great bloke and does alot but heard he may be looking for a break for a while?
This May be wrong, has anyone else heard anything?

I see that the Southern Zone team is going to withdraw from the Championships if the SANFL don't put the RMFL back into the Southern area! Very interesting....

doubt the coach is moving on, pretty sure he has signed for 3 years along with the other guys from adelaide. Big includsions happening at the bay, keep an eye out for some very good past players from the last 3 years strapping on the boots in the coming weeks. Ill give you a hint they currently play RMFL.

PS - it would also be good if the person who looks after gsfl.com.au acctually updated it from time to time. sick of reading the same old news and looking at the same old clearances that say they havent gone through but really have. Some clearances arnt even on there?

So you're saying they are leaving whatever club they are currently playing for and clearing to play the rest of the season at the Bays???

Maybe Garrett from Imps?? Came down and was a handy inclusion but hasnt played for a couple of seasons. Jagodnik may be headin back there, Billy Bass might have some spare coin to splash about the place!

Rumour gettin around that Chad Norsworthy from South Adelaide may be off to E Bay aswell.
