JAMES PENALTY! 23-21! The Boks are really fired up now with a James chip over almost leading to a score...but there's a penalty waiting for Smit smack in front of the posts! Nothing comes of the ten's option so he sends over the three!

DE VILLIERS TRY CONVERTED BY JAMES! 30-21! Montgomery is now on for the final stages at wing as James clears from deep. Here come the Boks with some enterprising rugby and a penalty coming for offside...they tap and go five out! Try after a couple of near misses!

Another penalty for Wales comes from wide out and Ryan tells his namesake Stephen to have shot at the three - putting them within touching distance for a big finish - wide! Next score is vital!

The men in red have another opportunity though thanks to Du Plessis' offence...but Bekker steals the attacking lineout! Now Wales must come from 40 out as the game enters its final ten...promising scrum midfield ball though...

Montgomery claims the high one but then in turn fails to find touch from his mark. However, with time ticking on, Wales hold on in contact 64 metres out...enter Frans Steyn! He had the distance but the ball was never on target as Fury emerges from the sidelines.

Now Habana finally finds some ball in broken-field 30 out! However, a knock-on between Smith and Steyn's hands foils the attack as frustration remains in the Pretoria air!

Wales attempt to force it with nothing to lose now until Jantjes hacks the loose ball into the opposition 22...can he gather first and finish? No, as prop Jenkins is on hand to slow it down before Habana fumbles with a smile - one of those days for him!

DU PLESSIS TRY CONVERTED BY JAMES! 37-21! South Africa have something to celebrate at the final whistle as the replacement hooker squeezes over after the TMO's backing! Wales were much improved this week but the Boks had that extra gear in the end.
