Matt Hood, huh. I would have thought to be in a team of the year you would want to have a bit of work ethic in you. Laziest footballer ever seen.

Rory Duerdin has only played about 2 or 3 games. Has had a mysterious back injury for awhile now and continues to be sidelined. On paper quality pick up, in reality waste of money.

I would like to publicly retract my comments towards Rory Duerdin as seen above. Unbeknown to myself and after speaking to a few guys that have watched the majority of North Haven games, I have been informed that he has been battling a serious back injury but continued to play in extreme pain. It was also pointed out to me that he has been more than just someone making up the numbers. He has in fact been a guy that has determined many of the wins for North Haven this year. With a couple of weeks off I would expect to see some quality performances from Rory and someone that all opposing sides will have to watch.

I did make a comment that I thought you were being a bit harsh!!

You were spot on Nuff Said, Rory has returned to form a bit earlier than expected with a quality performance on Friday Night. He was all over the ground racking up plenty of possessions and linked up very well with Aaron Burridge where it counts and hurt everyone on the scoreboard. He really put on a display. Let's just hope is form at the Ramsgate translates to the Footy field this week.

Since you keep such a close eye on young fit guys in the area (questionable past time) have you heard anything on how Tommy Turtle Lipson went in Port u/19's on the weekend?

limited opportunities but but did some good things unfortunatly hood didnt get a game which was a bit dissapointing ouzzo.

Wouldn't be the first or the last time Port didn't recognise talent in a player. Feel bad for the lad, is real quality player but Port's loss is North Havens gain. Shame the big turtle didn't get much of a run, why pick a bloke and then sit him on the bench, sounds like he did good things when he was on. Good on him.

thats no good for young Jeremy hope they take leanience on him and it doesn't put his position with the Adelaide Lightning in jeapordy.

Don't worry Joompin, he's a young lad but he's not stupid enough to follow that bloke, I've seen their coach before very seedy looking character.

if wareing 'Erin Phillips' gets games that means his not able to play saturday or sunday as ports have the bye, so what ever he gets ya pretty well adding two games.

There wasn't a Footy Budget at all last week because of the bye. There was definately a D4 write-up the week before, so im not sure what you are talking about...

There is a fair bit of talk about Nort Havens young brigade, but could someone tell me more about Ty Duerden, Rorys younger brother. Saw him play against Pooraka and one of the shining lights in an overall disappointing game. How old is he? Is he in the Port system? If he isn't there's more talent that Port have overlooked. If he is as young as I think he is, he would have to be rated in the same breath with Wearing, Lipson and the likes.

i believe he is 19 years old and has always been a good player through juniors, came through the magpies development squads i think, but unfortunatly has very average eye sight, especially at night time really struggles to see the ball and i think he had a few years out of the game and only last year got back in to it
