Not sure really, probably Quinn from Mannum, but the overall team that was picked is pretty good and you would find it hard to drop anyone from it to fit these guys in.

I think the RMFL team will have a fair crack on saturday and have a very good chance to get the win. Should be a great game.

some good names mentioned in the article + some entertaining words from pete...

should be a good hitout tomorrow

and i agree goldy, if you fill the team with players that 'want' to be there and represent the league, your halfway there i reckon.

caarn the cods!!

I'm guessing completely, but i reckon they might maybe go with Morris at FF, Rigney in the pocket, with Jackson at CHF, they're the in form forwards in the comp by the sounds of it.

With a few players not playing for the GSFL we should have a real chance. No Steele, Thomas in the ruck, no Hams, Ryan or Duffield in the Forward line, no Haskett (Geez I think I just named half the Willunga side!) I've also heard that NO Strath players made themselves available, so no Martin, Eagleton, Tucker, Richardson or Duffield. Rumuor has it that the Strath coach didn't want them playing in case they injured themselves!!!

With those players out of the GSFL side, i reckon the RMFL will almost start favourite, or maybe at least a 50/50 game.

Very disappointing to say the RMFL side went down today by 1 point. The boys were disappointed with the finish after being up by about 7 goals at one stage.

Better players were Luke Button, the guy is a rock and has a fantastic set of hands. Rigney with 6 goals was always an intimidating factor and has one of the best shots for goal going. Liam Oneil was good in the middle along with young Hogarth was impressive. Bayliss early was dominant in ruck and Captain Pedlar was always a hard and honest contributor.

Basically the strengths of the River Murray side were there height whereas the GSFL had only a side of runners with noone to really aim at. The contest was great, with RMFL up by 5 goals midway through the second quarter and 15 points up at half time. 3rd Quarter GSFL got well and truly on top and ended up as much as 3 goals up but were about 2 goal up at 3 qtr time. Last quarter was tough and hard and the River boys can hold there heads high, with a scoreline of 15-16 to 16-9 either side could have won.
