Dave Jenner is definitely still having a run with Lobethal B's. They've got a heap of old guys making up the numbers. Apparently Chris Hill has also played and he must be over 50!

Not in this instance. It is better for all concerned that it's not discussed for now.

Which of these statements is TRUE, M80's

The moderators are listed on the top of the page and you're NOT there.
You are a past premiership player with Hahndorf which would suggest you have something to do with them.

Back to Footy then... As i'm new(ish) to this league - Does anyone really care about the game at Freeling????

Why the apathy towards playing for the Assoc?

Is it because guys want a break when they get a week off - or are the clubs pressuring their stars not to play just to make a point in a thinly veiled swipe at the seemingly unpopular Big O and his merry band of underlings?

Welcome new(ish)! Methinks you may be an HFL gatherer of info in disguise, but regardless, my response would be the same. No-one cares about the game at Freeling, except maybe younger players from both sides who feel honored, being uninitiated to the politics of it all. Interleague began for this reason but gradually died a natural death years ago. Many clubs feel that Owen is trying to keep this concept alive for his own benefit. One can't help but notice his photo in every single record of events. His merry band of underlings must take responsibility too, as there are more of them then he.

I've been heavily involved with 2 clubs and can tell you that at both places, we were very proud to have our players selected and supported them all the way. But I think that if any club chooses to encourage players not to play, it would never be to 'take a swipe' at Owen. I can't imagine any club being so petty. In almost all cases, it would be related to injury or re-injury risk. And the standard of inter-league is not all that great nowadays. Good clubs leave the decision to play to the player(s) selected and don't pressure anyone.

Cheers
