I don't agree with giving the lower clubs more points, you shouldn't penalise clubs that have the ability to recruit successfully. It just so happens that the rest of the clubs can do it without bankrolling SANFL tryhards
TV today had 14 of the 21 who don't and never have lived anywhere near the towns. Maybe born and bred locals should be no pointers

Wow - another win for TV over Meadows.
TV have owned Meadows of late.
Good to see Slattery get amongst the goals. Class player and a good bloke.

Cally 2 bad injuries including knee to Saliba

Nairne best Murphy again, Laube (Sturt bye), new ruckman Grasberry and Clint Foster.

Is Hughes that people keep talking about on here Wayne Hughes former coach of the Westminister Old Scholars. If it is he ain't much of a coach and it would be $$$ keeping his club competitive.

Only if is is the same guy.

No, the Hughes they are talking about is Garry - owner of Hughes Construction = big $$. From what I've seen and been told, he's not much of a coach but has the money to get in good players that don't need a lot of coaching.

The Hughes Navy2005 is talking about is Wayne Hughes, ex coach of Kersbrook, Barossa Districts, Riverton?, Westminister O.S., Kersbrook, Elizabeth and other clubs. Think he's finished with the coaching caper and his lads are currently saddling up for Kersbrook. Gary Hughes, coach of Torrens Valley, is no relation and a millionaire.

Interesting to see the Brookers knock off Kangy, with several absentees from their side, with the more notable ones being Scotty Carslake and the New Ruckman. Brad Lees has had a good record against Kangy kicking a match winning 4 goals in last years GF, and 4 again on Saturday. Very Handy Pick up for the Brookers.

Echunga by 11 goals against Cally. The Demons ran away in the last quarter but Cally very competitive until then. Gee they have some quality indigenous players if they could keep some of them focused. Red card in the last quarter didn't help. I arrived at half-time, so didn't catch any first half data.

Just as at the half way mark of last season, Kersbrook looks the goods. Hopefully they'll go on with it this year. TV have some classy footballers suiting up, that must cost a packet. Slattery, Jaques and Carter are guns, and with a bit more depth will be pretty imposing come finals time. Heard South Adelaide were chasing Jaques, but the TV offer was too good to refuse

good on the brookers, like Meadows when they won 4 flags in a row, the brookers are making the most of their home grown talent.Beefy needs to keep them up for second half of the year and they could well win the flag. The sad aspect of the TV payroll is most of the guy's on the big bucks are good blokes and if you're offered big money why not grab it. These guy's cop alot of abuse for playing there which should be directed at the building magnate.

Yep. here we go again. I also heard the last minute phone chase was on. Let's face it, aren't the HFL playing Assoc football just to feed O's ego anyway? I suppose we can expect another whinge from him when no-one's interested.

Good luck to all the boys who've chosen to have a Saturday off for some R & R or to settle injuries. Maybe Owen can fast-track another registration and stand in the pocket himself?
