He is like 40 years old isn't he!!!

i heard 42 in july!

And as Dalwood says, he's an experienced veteran!!!
Baylis has to picked first, so let's not jump to conclusions!

going on current form surely he has to be the first pick by a long shot.
no other ruckmen in the league have been getting BOG's.

This bulshit with INTERLEAGUE is finished ,need a new format u/15 ,u/17 , u21 and make it local players only ,there is enough talent in this league to fill these 3 go local . GSFL WILL to and you would get talent scouts coming for a look ,promote it

Not a bad idea FIL, except for 1 thing. There are some players who love it, & have aspirations of playing SA country. If they cant be selected that would be a bit tough on them.

But seriously, thats the best suggestion I've heard in ages other then the return of Lovelock

Braun was the Jervois player

It looked to me to be around 20 aswell which would mean 20ish were missing. Could be the biggest week at the tribunal ever

Couldn't answer on behalf of everyone but most of the Jervois players named are Adelaide based and we generally train Mondays, so Tuesdays a lot of the boys are working. I know one was away in the country for work, one works shift work in a hospital, one is a fitness trainer and therefore a lot of his work is done outside of normal business hours, another studies on Tuesdays and so on.

So if you dont want to play ,you should be forced into playing is that what your saying .Big deal jervois players werent there ,theres been plenty of years when there were no 1 ram out of 8 1 imp out of 7 so CAN IT go local ,play players that want to be there .

It is a good topic for discussion. I think the best way to do it is for each of the head coaches to sit down with there players and put forward the names of about 8-10 players who want to play and are fit to play and then the Association selection committee narrow that down to 35-40 players to come out to train and then pick the best 22. Some players don't want to play, others jump at the opportunity. Thoughts???

FIL I wish you would pay attention mate. We all have been saying that the way the RMFL is trying to force blokes to play is wrong. STOP BEING SO DEFENSIVE OF THE BLUDS!!!!! I was simply noting that there was only 1 Jervois bloke there, & that they will need to be careful, because I'm sure Sam would want them all to be available next week. So in actual fact, trying to help them in a way!!!

As for Pantha's suggestion- Great idea mate! Give the original selection responsability to the clubs, which if necessary can be culled from there.

Great idea panther, each coach should select their best from their club and send them. Then the association coach picks the side, as long as coach do send their best and the players who are deserving. This has worked well else where as it also brings in coachs who are not normally involved in the process which can get them on side a little.
