mrcarey18 you idiot whilst that is a funny reply i'll have you know i batted 3 all year the 2 frithys both stayed in there posi's all year did'nt change once and as for winning the bowling trophy i bowled the least amount of overs than any1 didnt open for us once and opened in all 3 CUSA cup games next you'll be telling me winning the fielding trophy was rigged aswell i took more catch's than the keeper fielding at short cover so get off my back you silly old man i'm about to retire from cricket anyway i'v had enough!

Westies will struggle next season I think. WIll always be competitive but without the polish of previous years.

Might lose some important players this season. Cant say who, but one might be leaving to play with his mate elsewhere.

Come on you have to let us in on who might be leaving westies. the young boys should go district

Might be a bowler......might try his hand in the Premier League with a mate...maybe....might? :D

If its any consolation, I believe you are a far better player than Bomber and Robbo.
thats a huge call there rolls whilst i to think norm is a fair cricketer a far better player than a 3time a1 medal winner and a great premership capt and medal winner himself thats a big call as good as norm is.
I stand by what I said Shaun. I've seen Billy make runs against quality bowling....anyone can beat up on trundlers. Example - What did the other 2 do against Salisbury West in the GF ? Billy is also a big game player, unlike the other 2. (Hows your ego now Billy?)

Also, whilst Corey is one of the nicest blokes in PDCA, he won his medal by scoring 500 less runs than the guy who won the batting, and they both had around 25 wickets.....and the other guy was also captain of a pretty successful side (21 games in a row without a loss). That medal has zero credibility. Zero !

Explain how someone can make 205no and take 3/20odd and not get a vote ?

Hey Rolls, how do you gain access to who got what votes in each game, I didn't know that it was displayed anywhere.

What's the general consensus on "fielding votes", who else thinks it is the biggest crock going around, what makes it worse is when the PDCA send out a leaderboard with a couple of rounds to go, I seen someone gain ten points in the last two rounds, the funny thing is, we played them in the last round and he got none from us, he barely touched the ball.

There is no possible way to find a fair system, maybe "most catches or dismissals" otherwise it is a nothing award. We had a kid win our B grade one, he bowled well for the year, he took a few catches, there were some weeks where he got votes just for being young.

Mr Gary Venn had all the votes round by round on a piece of paper on presentation night. A club delegate had a quick look at it and almost fell over after what he saw. Get this....the same player who scored 192no only recieved 2 votes for that particular game.

But you are correct, they are not public common knowledge.

Fielding votes....meh. I believe it should be a wicketkeepers award like they do in turf. You are spot on again....a pretty ordinary award if you ask me.

That's sort of fair, just a bit of a concern that the guy with slick hands in the slips or an outstanding outfielder can't get rewarded, there is no proper way of judging. I always wait for the other captain to do theirs to see if they take it serious as it annoys the crap out of me when they don't, I've had to hide players in the field coz they are having a shocking day and they seem to get votes against some teams in particular.

192 not out and only two votes, along with Adam's debacle, a little bit of common sense doesn't hurt once in a while.
