Postby bayman » Sun Jun 01, 2008 7:23 pm

well we all know dennis loves to come out with 'cliches' from other walks of life & sport & i'm watching the fremantle v port match & dwayne is doing the samething using names of songs & films

are they trying to out do each other ?

have they got a bet between them on this ?
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Ditto, Russell just playing catch up commentary.

Dwayne Russell is a poser who thinks he's good (and thinks he knows everything).

Dennis is streets ahead of him.

Anything beats that whining Blueblood Tim Lane. If I had the money for a new TV set a brick would have been hurled. He grabs on to a decision/whine in a way that would embarrass Ian Chappell and moans and whinges about for three quarters of the game. Next time you watch a Carlton game and you hear that bitch Lane, do yourself a favour and turn the bloody sound down. Disgraceful!

Must say, thought he is a great cricket caller, but the AFL I enjoy his calls except when he
does a Carlton game....

Last week in Perth, Dwayne Russell asked us "those VB signs that the Crows fans hold up, are they for Bernie Vince or Nathan Van Berlo" I looked at him as if to say "are you for real" and then just nodded and said "For Nathan VB".

Have to say Dennis- on Friday night had the Bombers/Crows game on whilst working on something in the back room. Came in for a score update, when I think it was Reimers for Essendon ran onto a loose ball wearing bright orange boots:

Cometti is a good commentator but I think he's trying too hard to be funny. A lot of his lines these days sound very premeditated and forced, he almost sounds like he's doing a stand-up routine - it was better when he threw in the odd joke seamlessly into his commentary, he goes a bit overboard with the jokes now I reckon.
