he protected the man going for the ball and the man playing in front and he was consistent as well.....................I guess that is all you can ask for.

Agreed about the pulteney umpire, didn't even notice that he was there, that's always a good sign

It is about our co-captain last year after winning the GF from elizabeth....GOLD.

funny stuff, did he get back on it after he got out ?

Not exactly, he trained a few times throughout the preseason, but never got that motivated. Great bloke though, tore teams apart in the middle.

Beaten by a better side, we werent far off winning though. A bit of luck and we may have. A few changes to the team from the week before, but thats no excuse because the guys i brought up were actually some of the better players on the day. We arent playing good footy at the moment, IMO. We have half a season to fix that though.

Unley B grade are a good side, and will be very good in the run home.

Unley's B grade are always a good side.............Div 4 reserves is the most even its been in years IMO..........PAOC are obviously travelling well and CBC are struggling but the rest of the teams appear to be pretty even on their day.
Thoughts?

Yeah, im not sure about that. It was pretty even last year - Mitcham were very, very good, but they only won the GF by a kick. Any of the top 3 could have won it. The year before, Unley were the stand out, but Salisbury West knocked them off in the GF.

We will find out in the next few weeks, but PAOC will be hard to beat. IMO, everyone else is playing for second. More than glad to be proven wrong though

Interestingly, if you look at the top 3 in D4 last year - Salisbury, Para Hills and Mitcham - all of them had excellent B grades. Pooraka and Haven both bombed out and had ordinary reserve sides. This year, obviously Pooraka's B's are struggling, Haven's are low on the the ladder, but a much improved side. Mitcham, PAOC, Portland and Lutheran B's are all going ok. I wonder how all this will effect things later in the year.
