Shaun Light should replace Lowey's spot in the Rucking spot, But losses like Harvey and Hollitt (who will probably wearing a different Shirt) are difficult to fill.

At least we can rely on a strong and proud feeling of tradition as the guys that pull on the Red, White and Black in the past have all wanted to and thrive on representing this league.

Pretty sure Assoc training starts next week. I dont think the squad is as strong as it has been in previous years. The quality squad (Assoc Standard) drops away fairly quickly so hopefully not too many of the likes of Walks, Light, Earl, Wilson's, Catford, J montgomerie, Searle, Pym or Allmond have injuries or work committments or we may well struggle.

The training was on at Mallala on Wednesday night when I drove past.

Yeah Southo started a bit slow, but was fair enough given he had only been around the club for a coupla weeks before 1st game, but last 3-4 weeks he has been sensational prob had 30+ touches on avg in last month. A real asset for the pies both on the track leading the young brigade and on Saturdays. Good bloke to have around. His input in regards to footy trip plans has been first class and has risen the bar dramatically.

I see big gav wilson played A's today! would've been a few unhappy campers who rocked up early to watch the B's!

No suprises in the results this week, although I hear Hamley had United down by 7 goals at quarter time but couldnt keep it up. What was the go there water tower boys? only bring truss on at qtr time hey

Certainly not....... the depth in our league to fulfil a top class side is there if these blokes played or not. Tim Cawrse definiately deserves a spot on that backline, he hasnt been beaten for three years, there is a few players in that squad purely on previous years form. Is that the way to go? Present form or reputation?

State Captain not too many years ago I think??? Can play young earl. Knocked a 20L water container off the United bench with a 30m pass by no accident last year

Q graham is my gripe, hasnt been in the best players as yet and is taking the spot (if picked) of a local like ya beloved Timmy. Seems like anyone new to the Assoc gets a gurnesy lately

Its not the stardard of the league that drops away, its the standard of the squad, could easily be 10 changes there

Longies got a bit of a scare on saturday. Hamley have a very good indigineous parade ,a ton of skill when they are fresh. But got a bit tired in the end and the tigers took control. Longies still have massive injury problems.... Schulz and mansfield were good off half back. Ben Sobey found some good touch and played a good game. Once again willy was good ,forward line pressure second to none. The competition has been good this year, need to poach more teams into the plains to make it a stronger comp.If not angle vale, maybe paskeville could be the answer.

Nope, You'd never get them away from the Yorkes.

However there was some talk a few years back that Riverton was thinking about getting amongst the APFL.
Sorry people I only deal in facts!
