Agreed on both counts. No big deal.

For every Mackie, Biagi, Bolton and Toia you get a McKenzie, Powell, Treeby and Passador.

Where has this been confirmed. I haven't read anything in the papers or on the official club website.

Mackie was suspended by the club for our last game vs Centrals, not sure what the reason was but it certainly was an indescretion. Pity because he had a bit of grit and may have developed further during the year. Sadly Biagi was just not up too it and it was a bit sad watching him play. I am glad both parties 'cut their losses' and both will be better off. The Eagles recruiting efforts have not been fruitful this year albeit they put a lot of effort into some targets for no result. Biagi - flop, Gogoll - simply not good enough, Couch - needs a lot of time, McEntee has been pretty good, Mackie - poor result, Twomey - should be ok, Jarrad Wright should be ok when fit, Malinovski - not encouraging as yet, Daniel Roberts has been ok after a year away.
Hence our desire to add to our midfield has resulted in a full back only so far this year but we do have some encouraging juniors who will develop.

I really think the Eagles need to go backwards to go forwards .By this I mean revisit what they have done in the past to bring and keep young guys at the club a great example would be Coleville. From country victoria he should have been on an AFL list but never was.
Target players like him that the club needs and can use over a long stretch of time.Project players i think they are labelled these days Rimmington is falling into this type .Lee could also be one.
Treeby and Powell have been great pick ups in the past but lately we have not been so lucky .

I have just had my say on the VFL site re Biagi.
If the amount I was told he was paid someone at the club needs a good stiff kick up the rear. And that money should be used to bring skippy home.
