I'd go with 15 a side. We and most of our Under 10 opponents have had way too many kids on the bench this season in NEMJFA. 15 a side in two teams is better than 10 on the bench in one.

Yes, they do.

But I think we should teach them to kick, handball, mark etc etc before we move on to things that in reality, most junior coaches couldn't teach because a good number of them are bad losers.

Very lucky if that is what you had.

Too many clubs looking for good coaches, too few good coaches willing to help. Not a good outcome, sadly for football.

please Kookas, bayman can not be fined at all...what happens if a random person goes and watch a game of football, keeps the score and puts them up here? u cant do anything..thats the fact! so the club or there members cant put scores up but bayman as he stated is not a member.. Little Bayman has lost the last couple games and is excited about seeing his sides name up there and without his name mentioned! its a part of football winning/losing... they watch it on TV so they mite aswell play the same winning/losing formula..
altho they should have zones set so players dont follow the ball everywhere i think

Peace

typical typical MSJFL, this league is an absoulute joke...im no longer involved but have coached a junior team in this comp, they dont care about the little clubs, all they care about is PHOS, GOODWOOD AND TOWNS! they add in new grades every year to make these clubs stronger! phos have 40 under 10s, so what does the league do...add under 9s....all 40 players stay at phos, they have strong teams, so kids from the weaker clubs leave to win more often, dont say it doesnt happen because is does and its a discrace! the league should have 8s, 10s 12s, 14s, 16s! all played at one ground on one day! instead of mixing and matching teams all around the southern suburbs! how are clubs expected to supply 3 trainers on a sunday???

the metro south is on a power trip, about time they gave back to some of the clubs who helped them kick the league off, because the way some get treated is not on..also if clubs arnt meant to score in 8s 9s and 10s why have a carnival at the end with a grand final? and a grand final winner?

Seriously, they have finals for those age groups??????????
CRAZY!
Surely it's about learning how to play the game before the added pressure of ladders and premiership points become a focus.

In NE Metro there are no finals until Under 11's and even that is probably a bit too soon.

Just let 'em have some fun for God's sake!

jake the snake there are NO finals for 8's, 9's and 10's, the first lot of finals start in U/11's. why do you say that the Metro South is on a power trip when everything that is put up is voted on by the clubs NOT by the executive. All the clubs have a say in what they want and at the end of the day it is voted by them NOT by us. So which club where you involved with? Metro South havent had a carnival for at least 2 years.

if you have got any ideas of how you want it to be run, maybe you should join up as a committe member of you club and then attend the meetings and find out more of what happens. Maybe you could put yourself up as a executive member of the Metro South, they are looking for a new President of the league.

The threadstarter can start a new thread for little bayman in his ''other'' team next year & he'll have the littlest sheik as a team mate.

edit- can guarantee some angst on school appointed umpires to add some spice, hello CBC.
Hey soccer you owe us 45million.

That is an issue with clearances, there has to be changes made to the clearance process for kids. No intra-association transfers unless there are significant changes, such as a team being withdrawn from the comp or the family moving house. Transfers to a club to win games is not acceptable in junior footy, coaches that encourage it should be removed from our game.
