The game was enjoyable to watch without reaching any great heights. The Port Lincoln side did resonably well considering how short you guys said they were. The corporate people who could watch from upstairs would have been loving it siping on chardinay and the pesants out in the weather drinking flagon port well bad luck! I hadnt been to the venue in years and the whole thing is poorly designed. The netball was the best part of the day

well, the weather held up better than expected!! the licoln side held up better than expected!! number 3??? killed us. the surface was good, a bit wet down the southern end, but it handles the rain better than any other oval would have!! its good to play on an oval with no pitch in the middle. dont get me wrong, im not praising up the place, the second there was a bit of rain the crowd and atmosphere went missing. they have got the score board finally working, but not the time clock. eventually they will. surely a grandstand has to go up on that bare side. it feels wrong when your out on that side. feels like im in a farmers paddock.
and as for the night that followed. ricky skinner made the most of the beers put on by the PLFL. he was in good form by the time we left, and was on his was to being the first GF bloke to be kicked out of the palace. fancy not having superdry... seriously, get with it!!!
got on the piss with the tasmans boys, its funny to find out how many guys actually read this site, but are to dumb to know how to log on. haha, im refering to you killer!!!

sounds like another spectacle that didn't live up to much due to players and officials not getting behind it once again and not to mention the coach. come mortlock time will whillas reward the ones that put there hand up for this match or will he try and demand the guns that just play for coin to be available for lincoln to give the shield a real shake?

well done to hall and casey carr who i heard played serviceably in their 1st league game. i can vaguely remember mentioning something about these 2....
leonidis wrote:i can't quite work out why port wouldn't be looking at the quality younsters to blood in some of these key positions. for instance how about young hall that's playing in the ressies he could play at either end at CHB or CHF and hold his own once given the opportunity and time to learn his craft.
