Have a go bp, pretty hard week. Marion will be to good with Bilney and Stokes to fire, Aldinga at home will run over the top of Lonsdale (hot one week, very cold the next), valleys in a tight one and someone has to pick cove and i think the run of the emus will come to an end.

Crappy weather over the weekend will certainly bring the scores closer but I can't see Aldinga getting over the lions, and if they do, definately not by seven goals. Morphettville park will be too strong against the flaggies and as much as I hope Cove beat Morphies, I really can't see it happening this weekend. I do like Valleys over Brighton for a bit of an upset. That said though, wet weather brings the teams much closer so we are going to see some ripper games this weekend!

Marion's my special --- they are really starting to look dangerous now
Morphett Vale by three goals --- Cove will beat them one day, but not just yet
Brighton over Valley --- nearly beat Cobras and can hold the form
Flagstaff in a thriller over Twisties
Reynella much too good for Christies --- bubble has really burst there
Lions to beat Sharks (just)
Port easily over Hawks --- lets hope the Hawks get something respectable

Have marion managed to hold onto their prized recruit Wes bilney? If the issue that he has returned to Pt Lincoln is raised any more times can we refer to it as "Bilneygate"?

Are you talking about Cameron Miller who left to play for Subiaco at the start of this season after previously playing for Port Magpies?

Just an update on the Hawks.....

The Calamari has spat the ink and resigned as U18's coach..... Took no players with him, due to the fact that not many actually liked him! Full co-operation is needed between juniors and seniors at a footy club.... Maybe this will happen now!

On a brighter note.... I would like to congratulate Blake Mosar on being selected for the SFL rep side.... The kid is an absolute ripper and is the reason half the people come down to watch the Hawks play! Only 18, playing A Grade, and holding down CHB like a seasoned veteran.... Those that have seen him play would understand the potential this boy has.... Sweet skills and balls of steel.... Great job young fella!!

We travel down to Porties on Saturday.... Not really looking forward to standing out in the pi$$ing down rain all day, but for us footy fanatics it is part and parcel of the game.... Hopefully the matches are competative.... The U16's should be an absolute cracker!
Go you Hawks!

REYNELLA - to go 3 - 2 got it right this week efc.
PORTIES - wet weather to keep the scores down, 10 goals.
ROOS - only just never easy up the hill
SHOES - at home & will be upset after last weeks lost
OSB - this will be close in the wet
BRIGHTON - only cause it's at home, could go either way.
EMUS - but with the conditions, this could be Cove's best chance.

Might be a bottle of Port tomorrow instead of the frothies.

If the Valleys go down to Brighton this week will they be the new team to be put under the microscope? Seems as tho reynella accounted for them last week without too much fuss, and from the scores it doesnt look as tho their wins have been all that impressive.

I also agree that with this weather and tough tight football expected if the cobras are going to get that much sought after win against the emus then tomorrow would be the day for it.

Warrior, why would any club in their rite mind give calamari a coaching position in the first place(especially a junior side),and if this young Blake is that good then do him a favour, get his phone number give it too me and il get him to a real club were the lad might be able to go some where with his footy, and if u think the kelly gang will stick around then think again.Ask him how many different clubs he has been at in the last 10 years?

Navy to your question,I spoke to Hewy last week and he is absolutely itchin to get back and play in the red and black guernsey.I believe at a later stage of the season u will see him back,He is nursing a crook hand. The bloke has red and black blood. How good would it have been too see Kane running around tomorrow in these conditions against his old club,he would of smashed em

Hewy absolutely terrific player to watch I'm sure all Emu supporters will be keen to see him back out there. Two questions though what position does Hewy normally play for the Emu's? and what was the reason Hewy left Cove he was the Cobras captain wasn't he?

Was not my decision to give Calamari a coaching position mate... Watching the bloke prance around in his leggings and forcing the boys to do drills that were more likely going to get them selected for a dance company than a footy side was ridiculous!

As for your comment on young Blake.... The kid just wants to play with his mates! It's not his fault that he has the skills that would slot him straight into any A grade side in the SFL.... He just enjoys playing footy!

And on the topic of the Kelly boys hanging around.... I don't really give a $hit how many clubs they have been at in the last 10 years! They are at Hackham this year and are going a long way to changing a lazy culture.... If that is a bad thing, then you have issues....

You think that we haven't heard enough negativity over the last few years?!?! If people haven't got anything positive to say about the Hawks, then I suggest they just keep their mouths shut and concentrate on their own clubs!

Well done W.H. good reply and good to see the Hawks improving this year and good luck to the young fella Mosar hope he sticks around and sees the club get back on its feet. You would be a dog club to try and recruit from the Hawks.
