Stafford?? - Greg maybe? no idea.
James - Dreded oesteitis pubis
Cimma - Wasn't in the squad

Others out include:
North - Sore back
Tessman - Hamstring

Cragg-Sapsford - Away (maybe letters should have gone out earlier than 7 days before the game before players make other plans)
Mckinlay and Vonow - Not sure why they aren't playing

The game was in the footy fixture at the begining of the year and players like this should be striving to be a part of it.

Vonow NOT PICKED IN SQUAD..
McKinlay rang coach on Tuesday and is back in Adel / Goolwa for 21st..

Good luck to blokes who are playing.. Goin to be wet so reckon that will help the Lincoln lads..
Would have thought that Minya is obvious choice as (C ) and Semmler as (VC )

Where do you hear this crap from. Your boss down there at RV? Ill point you out to him and then you can get the story first hand.
Make sure you are pointing in the right direction cmh...things aren't always as they seem.

How can Honner play if he lives in Adelaide? Doesn't he have to be a resident.

Cove07..well done with the spelling of OP...pity about the dreaded bit....

There is no reason why the squad could not be named after the first round, or at the very least straight after R2. No one can expect to be named in the squad, as the omission of Vonow highlights. A lack of organisation once again is the major culprit here.

So who are the leaders????

Matt Goodwin will lead the side with Hayden Parker as his vice. We can only play players who put their hand up any critisism should be directed solely at the players who have pulled out.
We have the GF side now, the list is A hetzel, Skinner, Jefferson, Fitzgerald, C Curtis, Parker, Telfer, James, Holman, Breed, Jolly, Crettenden, Wait, Castley, Wedd, Fraser, Northcott, Read, Wake, Coad , Pedler, Prime.

My boss has nothing to do with what I know CMH, we rarely talk football as he is not interested.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

Congratulations to these 2 lads, taken from an e.mail from PAFC:

MORE FOOTBALL ACADEMY GRADUATES SELECTED FOR LEAGUE DEBUT

Kerren Hall and Casey Carr (both 19 years old) will both make their League debuts this weekend against Sturt at Unley Oval.

Hall was recruited from the Lincoln South Football Club (Port Lincoln) and moved to Adelaide as a 16 year old in 2006, playing seven Reserves games in that year. He is 192cm tall and 96kg and can play as a tall defender or forward and has recently been dominating in the ruck for the Reserves. He is quick, strong and has thoroughly earned his selection with some outstanding form this season and solid performances over the last couple of years in the Reserves.

Casey Carr is from the United Yeelanna Football Club (near Cummins on the Eyre Peninsula). He is 186cm and 84kg, and plays as a strong bodied mid-fielder. Casey relocated to Adelaide at the start of the 2007 season and was a member of the 2007 Under 19 Premiership team.

Both players are graduates of the highly successful Port Adelaide Football Academy Program. Since the program’s introduction in 2005, three players have been drafted to AFL Clubs (Levi Greenwood, Isaac Weetra & Tim Walsh) and now four lads have played League football for the Club.

CEO Matthew Richardson added, “The selection of Casey and Kerren is wonderful for the lads and their families, but also for the Eyre Peninsula (EP) and their home clubs. The football community on the Eyre Peninsula has really embraced the Academy Program and it is very much a partnership between the Port Adelaide Magpies Football Club and each of the Leagues on the EP. It is great now to see the rewards of their hard work over the last couple of years starting to pay off, with these lads progressing through to League football at Port Adelaide. A win and more rain on the EP and I am sure we will see plenty of smiles over on the West Coast this weekend.”

I think the venue was a ploy by the PLFL to even the game up a bit.
Our side looks reasonable and the weather is the only thing that stops us pumping port lincoln again.

I admit that side is so far from our best. Houston we have a problem
