not really as Modbury is looking good this year and hopefully can keep up the good footy. You probably should just worry about Seaton as they are very lucky ROCS and Broadview are so poor and saving them from being the laughing stock of the SAAFL.

PHOS just seem to be going along nicely. I'm trying to figure out how the bloody hell they're doing it. I've watched 3 quarters of PHOS football this year, they muddle around (or is it good pressure footy?) for the 1st quarter and a bit and don't seem to put their foot on the pedal until late in the 2nd quarter.

Surely there is a team out there that's going to take advantage of their slow starts (clue; it won't be us, apparently we love to give the opposition a good head start :? )

Good luck to 'em..

Calling all players, if you're behind me come up on stage.

Don't talk to anyone else about being a laughing stock, you blokes wrote the book on being a joke. It's a waste of a good housing development site down there at Seaton.

PHOS are a very competative club around the mark in the 1's and there B grade has been strong in recent years which indicates depth. They were young in the b grade and have probably matured into A graders which could be the reason for some of there success

An intresting result between Athelstone and Uni speaking to a mate down at Athelstone and he said they had 9 first choice
players out what is going on down there at Uni they are just doing enough but they find themselves around the mark now
was at the modbury game at the weekend the hawks again playing soem very exciting football, also seen the incident where Vassal
has been reported and all i can say is WHAT A JOKE the softest send off i have ever seen and the umpire should be going to the tribunal
for a terrible decsion

Another week another game we could have won.

Well done to PHOS but we're due to play four quarters of footy eventually. The best thing about PHOs is how well drilled they are. Awesome around stoppages - suppose you'd expect this given they're coaches experience though. Their ruckman were superb too - terrific in [code]the ruck contests and really smart in reading the play. Whenever the ball went forward they'd sit a ruckman behind play.

Poor old Sandford dislocated his shoulder and would most likely be gone for the season. It looked terrible.

Dunno what the fellas in orange were doing, but it certainly wasn't umpiring. Our forwards got destroyed by one umpire who refused to swap ends with the other umpire. His solution instead was to send our captain off. Work that one out. Then when the other umpire was asked to swap ends whilst play was held up so he could be shown a yellow card by the first umpire, he responds by calling one of our players a f***ing spastic! You can imagine how many free kicks we got after this.

I hate having a whinge about umpiring but christ, thats poor. It didn't change the result of the game, as PHOS were too good on the day, but that was ridiculous.

And i played shithouse for the record.

Sanfords career will surely be over after that.. not good to hear.

Jack Juniper played against us and looked good with limited opportunities. Has he always been at SHOC or is he knew?

Uni were 7 or 8 goals up at 3/4 time and while it's probably worth wondering as to why they decided to have a rest in the last quarter but hang on by the smallest of margins, they too have injury concerns. Take into consideration not one of their Captain or their two Vice Captains were playing, last years B&F on the boundary and definately 4 maybe 5 first picks also not up for selection due to unavailability, injury or having gained selection at their league club in the reserves. I wouldn't think any club has every player available every week until the business end of the season and sometimes all clubs want is to fall over the line. Tell you what though, Athlestone look better than a side that's just come up from Div 3 and will upset a few as the season unfolds and the five takes shape. They will get a berth I would think.

The 3/4 time score was Uni 12.13 to Athelstone 8.8, that makes it 4.5 up.

What did you think of the extra point that was given to Uni early in the last quarter? Umps made a big mistake and it should have been a draw.

sounds like it was a point then a free was paid after the first point meaning that another kick could be taken.
perhaps some lack of discipline turned out to be costly?

What the *&#@ you on about Rotter.
You seem to be very judgemental about alot of things on various clubs ( Seaton ) & i should say some people ( Jackson ).

Quite correct Blu, must admit to overlooking that AFC kicked the last 7 and that come back started just before 3/4 time not after. As for the point, Mmmm not sure though a couple of blokes reckon one of our points was a goal anyway so where do you draw the line on what would've or should have been and if you really want to dissect it we also kicked 19 points for the day with 6 of those in the last quarter not to mention the 4x25 mtr penalties awarded to you to bring you inside 50 for 4 goals but that's footy. Whilst you're 2-3 and some might say unlucky not to be 3-2, you've also played the sides in the top half of the comp so some good results should follow in the next few weeks. For what it's worth I think you're a pretty good side. PNU's resistance looks like it's burst copping a whipping from Pembroke and I think from memory you've got them this week at Payneham.
