Any tips on the replacement? My source says the tip is a bloke who used to be out at Smithfield.

Anyway, even if they werent entitled to terminate his contract, they could still get rid of him and hope he doesnt sue them for breach of contract. I cant see Fabian doing this and risk dragging his reputation through the mud (further)...

Apparently Fabian & the Board met last night & came to a mutual decision & have parted ways.
The Board will inform the players tonight with a gathering & try to get everything back on track as their were a few more ready to walk.
They may well of taken your advise Orts!

It seems that you have beaten the board to it NM
Im sure most of the players know by now anyway

I think that was a prudent move by the board. If they didnt get rid of him it might have caused the club to go into a downward spiral which could potentially be life threatening to the club...

Hopefully someone can take charge there and turn things around provided they roll over the next time they play Igs!

not likely from what i've seen, eastern very well drilled and disciplined. too many good players too keep quite. the parks have played some reasonable teams and come up trumps.

Thanks for the compliment...good to see someone notice the effort the club and boys have put it on the discipline front....I reckon para Hills though will be a huge challenge up there particularly....could be a real cracker!!!!

Had a look on the SAAFL website which doesn't list best players for each game. Where can I look to get this info ?

I hear Sean Jackson has already been up to his old tricks at FPFC. Divide and conquer is his M-O but surely he's worked out by now it doesn't work.

Sounds like Uni boy is trying to take the pressure off his own coaching team. It's a bit rich considering Uni's heirachy approached Jacko in late September last year asking him what his plans were for the following year. Flinders Park will beat Uni next year and validate his decision.

Just out of interest, which person representing himself as an official at Uni asked Sean what his plans were. Given most of the hierarchy that voted to sack him are still holding office, I doubt it very much, especially after the condition he left the club in upon his departure. And, what pressure are our own coaching team under might I ask?

Obviously the people in charge down there don't need their names thrown around. The last two wins may have taken some pressure off, but being relegated for the first time ever and the ridiculous statement that Uni would be mid table in div 1 puts the pressure on Roachy.

They're big boys, I'm sure those in charge can handle it. Come on TBS, put your money where your finger is, who approached Jacko to ask him what his plans were? and while we're at it guru, who said they'd be mid-table in Div 1.

Roach was quoted in the Sportsbeat as saying that.

Well it must be right if it appeared in the Sportsbeat. Now back to where we started to which you cleverly diverted the attention, what is Jackson up to at Flinders Park?

think a lot of this crap about jacko is being started at a northern club, by a player who may have been left out of a g f side which jacko coached. think it might be time everyone grew up and let it go. his record speaks for itself ,

With all due respect Tired Tiger - what record does he have that'd speak for itself?. All he's done since he's been in the Amateurs is piss people off with out achieving any results except for a GF loss that he should've won.

I've said before and I'll say it again, Jacko would be an outstanding coach in an environment where winning is everything such as a league club but a skill in coaching a community based football club is to be able to galvanize all factions of a club not split them. If he could learn that art he'd be brilliant but then again if I could've kicked 10 meters longer, taken bigger marks, run 100 meters in even time and had a tremendous work ethic to play footy I'd have played AFL so it's a moot debate.

He is what he is.

Wow Tired Tiger, this "bloke at a northern club" must have some crazy influence to make people think what they think of Jackson. As per everyone else on here we are all entitled to our opinion on people's coaching / playing ability. People within his own club are currently unhappy with him so thats the record that speaks for itself...Seems to happen everywhere he goes. Completely agree with Rotters comments, at a higher level he would have more success because everyone is as uptight as he is.

Tired Tiger were you approached to take on the B grade job under Jackson at flinders or assistant maybe? Would have thought he would try and take the best people he has worked with and you two have shared that role before.....

The blokes ego gets in the way of his coaching with small flashes of being a decent bloke/coach the rest of the time he's a twat.

Your assesment of Jacko, B.H. is quite accurate. Woodville-West Torrens, Sturt, Adelaide Uni and Gepps also came to the same conclusion. Not much wrong with his performance on game day,as he has a good understanding of the game, however, has a very poor insight into how local clubs actually operate. This problem is compounded by the fact that he refuses to listen, thus causing his own downfall on at least a couple of occasions

EB, BH, I think you are both on the money with your assessments. Absolutely no people skills whatsoever hence the reason when interviewed by Gaza a few years ago, they laughed at what he thought was most important part of his job, the response was "that he was the boss".

Should have gone straight from coaching at Loxton to the AFL, could have done Sheeds out of a job
