He's hard to match up on, but not a hard player. Doesn't play for hard ball gets, never see him on the bottom of the pack or putting his head over the ball. A good player nevertheless, agile and a smart footballer. And I would say he did play most of the game in the forward line, bar a couple of short stints in the guts.
From what ive seen of him i wouldnt exactly call him soft!
Neither would I, but I wouldn't say he was a hardnut either.

The point I was making out of all this was that he floated around their forward line most of the day. Smart forwards know where to be when a handball is dished out from a tackle or bottom of pack or when the ball spills from a marking contest.
now your backtracking..warburton is a tough nut dont worry about that..maybe he didnt have to do any tough work this game because it was a stroll in the park..btw allen is a top player as well

Meh, not backtracking, just described how he played on Saturday and the way he played against us last year. I'll stick by my point that he doesn't play for hard ball gets, doesn't make him entirely a soft player, doesn't make him a hardnut either.

In my opinion Allen would have been BOG on Saturday.

so are you saying that hawkseye is your b grade coach from last year...

...which would make him this years A grade coach?

HAWKEYE and HAWKSEYE are not the same person, its all in the spelling. hawkeye was alan someone, correct me if im wrong axe

It shouldn't matter who or how many players teams have 'out' - they need to make sure the ones that are 'in' can actually play and win games without the 'outs'. That's what makes a successful team IMO.

The current top four will all be serious GF contenders, can't see anyone else getting close. Hard to pick a top two out of that four so early in the season.
