i will pay a carton of scotch or beer to anyone who will reveal to me identity of leonidis. i would love to meet him and have a quiet beer! this is a legit bounty!

i think players should have to play for their leauge if they are picked, the leauges should also make it worth while for the players, ie association shirts free meals, beers, ect!!
no dr certificate, then you play i recon.

Steve is not going to take any crap this year and is determined to beat GF next week. If we can fill a full strength side this shouldnt be a problem one would think given the difference in standard between the two.

Leo, i would have thought that you out of everyone would know where Grove played the majority of his junior footy....

I think players that get an official letter to be part of the association team and make themselves unavailable without a dr certificate should be suspended by their league for 1 game. but you are right the league needs to look after the players as well. would look good at mortlock to have every player in their leagues colours with jackets and shirts.

While I bagged the BFC earlier in the week about umpire abuse i do commend them on calling a meeting to deal with the 2 incidents and offenders, hopefully the appropriate action is taken.

Suspending players is not the answer. If they do not want to play they will always find a way around it. Anyone can go to the doctors and get a certificate for a virus FFS.

The answer is to do whatever it takes to make players want to play.

The game needs to offer players something - not just money but intangible benefits like the prestige and honour of playing for your association. This needs to start at the top. The PLFL has alot to answer for here as it needs to be fully committed to it and be a bit smarter. Market the game, create a bit of rivalry through the press and give it some meaning, not just go through the motions of staging another interleague game. Build it and they will come, or, take a half hearted piss weak approach and watch it fall apart.

Your thoughts btb, AG, wcp, scooby, eski, trR???

leo = M.Goodwin, with all the spelling mistakes, im just glad that his handwriting isnt a font on the web site,

CMH fair enough suspending players that dont want to play but just coz u dont have a Dr certificate doesnt mean someone should be suspended, what bout blokes that work some weekend ends surely work comes before footy let alone basically a trail game where the out come means SFA until mortlock

i have just been emailed the great flinders squads for next week, they will be in tomorrows times so i will not post them on here. a grade has a squad of around 46 players!! have picked alot of young players but also some more experienced players are back (HS). we have a new jumper (sponsored by bendigo bank) and will have player shirts for mortlock (sponsored by cummins pub).
GF boys are always keen to play PLFA particually down there so hopefully everybody gets behind it. perhaps leo, you should come over and watch first hand at what " one of the weakest competitions in australia" best side can achieve. nobody said mate, we were the best in the state but it's of a reasonable standard, enjoyable and great to watch. you keep watching your u19s, your reports on the EP players are ok

Things happen in the heat of the moment CU and the lad umpiring has no f$@ken idea. how was he left to do a game on his own in his second week of umpiring? you put him in that position maybe grizz and rodda should direct their sprays at you and the umpiring director.
Rodda is a player member and well respected person in the club and grizz is generally pretty quiet, it must have been very bad for him to go off his rocker like that.
for the PLFL getting 'fully committed' they should look at themselves why no one wants to play. I already know that our top 5 footballers look forward to the week off and dont even contemplate playing and why should they. The only reason they would is out of respect for Willow not the PLFL.
I think the problems are at the head office and need to be looked at. what do the club delegates do at the meetings for f%@ks sake?

i saw the squad tonight djd, if everyone is available as usual for GF it will be a great side!! i doubt my form will get me a game! everyone wants the chance to play lincoln, especially now that they have 1 side and no excuses. pity we have to play at such a shit location.

leo. under 19 always look good playing against under 19.
playing against men is a different thing.
the GF association side would have them covered.

All this talk about PAMFC U19's. I reckon Leo was having a go at HS and how the 19's would beat EU not a combined GFFL or PLFL side. For the record and as I have said before I agree with Leo that they would beat any individual side over this way but couldn't see them beating a combined GFFL or PLFL squad.

T07 stop putting ideas into peoples head that tiger players aren't going to support grudge match between GFFL. Our top 5 players will all want to play no doubt as probably would get them a win for the year. There's only one player in our top 5 that want play due to injury and he want play this week. Our top five this year would be a lot younger than last years so why wouldn't they front.

Lincoln players i encourage you all to play as there is nothing better than representing your league and putting on a show for local supports at a higher level. Playing lincoln footy and dominating is a great satisfaction for some no doubt, but boys test yourselves at a higher level and succeed and the satisfaction is huge.

And my god its GFFL for F**k sake why wouldn't you want to take them to cleaners and shut them up for a while.
