That was a long time ago Fisty. Things did turn rather ugly that day, people almost expect clubs from the Port to be feral, but PAOC

They matched it with the best ferals going around that day. Money doesnt buy class, or humility.

CBOC B grade were dirty last yeara in Div 3. one guy was lucky not to get reported for headbutting.I guess you'd get frustrated when your team gets regularly beaten by 15-20 goals each week

They werent too bad on the weekend - their kicking for goal was freakish, kicked 11-2 !!! We had double the scoring shots, but they were kicking them from anywhere and everywhere - checksides, snap-shots, you name it! Many of them were flukes !

I agree with playing kids and developing the club but find some kids who can play, and maybe a coach who has some idea on what to do in a match winning situation, mind you their coaching appointments have never been great,
Russell Evans - Too good to coach A4 footy
Brenton Klabe - sacked after 3 games
Gavin Crack - Won a flag in a 2 sided competition
Greaham McInerney - Crap
Paul Marshall - great player, couldnt coach
Darren Hams - why did PAMFC get rid of him?
Current Coach - Crap
This club will be in A7 before to long[/quote

Gee Dudley sounds like your a good club man then, If you played for them why come out and bag them, or are you just trolling for reactions. Without a doubt the best coach that coached the PFC was Russell Evans but results will show that the most successful was G Crack. I think your leaving 1 bloke out too and Thats Mark Moody. Absolute crap that he didnt score the top job at some stage in Portlands history. As for the rest no support from the committee in terms of finance structure vision contributes to a coaches demise. Some of those coaches you mention especially one hung out to dry by some narrow minded people in high positions.

Newman you are right, Russell Evans was a terrific coach at the club as was Mark Moody. Mark probably didnt get a go for similar reasons whilst the club struggled under Paul Marshall. No support from people running the club, and some of those people are still running the club.

Why isnt he getting a kick at the Magpies ?

Felch, he has been in the best players in just about every game it was just a rotation change.

Yeah, thought that was the case.

Young Dylan Brooks made his A grade debut on the weekend too, Slots. Played ok, didnt look out of his depth.

I thought that would interest you.

Thats great for Dylan, he is a good kid. Interesting he got the call up. I thought he was ok against Haven in the B grade, but not outstanding?
1 game 1 win for him, maybe he has been the missing link.

Deserved his call up, he played an important role as a small forward off the bench. We saw it as a good chance to give a young bloke a taste of it too.

well they have had over 12 players return from playing Paid footy in the various country leagues surrounding Adelaide. Dropping to D4 has obviously had the Reds swallow* a huge amount of pride as this is the lowest they have ever been in the SAAFL and clearly have worked on regaining their old boys back to the club. with Rob Gerard as the club Patron no doubt they should have the best lights in the leauge but maybe some compensation for the new players at the club this season

Word around Morgan oval on Saturday that their school side is a chance to knock off both Rostrevor and Sacred Heart this season. so if they can fit in some of those boys in the next few years then they are only going be looking up

wow thanks heater they pretty much sound unbeatable in div four. 12 paid players returning to the club sounds like something a div 2 or div 1 side would have

I heard that Sharpey is heading up to Darwin soon?? Is that true??

I see that your C's went down to Pooraka and we beat them a few weeks ago whats the go? the Cmen are looking to bounce back from the shelacking we copped from PAOC.

yes Nigel starts his new job on the 2nd of June I believe. I reckon a typical Sharp bender is on the cards for the 31st of May...

Sharpey is known for his benders, and some of those antics he gets up too during those cracks me up every time....

C's started off well, but with a few injuries in the a's and b's, alot of players have been playing up a grade higher than the coaching staff would have like. But it can be seen as a learning expereince which hopefully benefits the club at the end of the year!!

and C Abbott who played for Unley is playing for ALFC, very nice guy, hangs around the club alot with the every-agile D Hodges, who was also ex-Unley...Both great clubmen!!

He is playing A-grade, kicked a few bags of 4 and 5, he isn't a super athlete but he does his job on the field.
