Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

In the MR Vs LS game there where three umpires, one good umpire and two other umpires that really needed to be over ruled when the incorrect decision was made. I know we are hard up for umpires and most believe it to be from the abuse from the player and crowd, but you are never going to stamp out the abuse completely. When the umpiring standard has dropped to the level it has. The umpires can defuse the situation with the main experienced umpire showing a bit of nous and over ruling the decision. There are some good pro's and there is always going to be con's. The umpire will get a visual first hand experience of the correct decision that should of been made, they will learn from there decisions. You would think with three umpires you would hardly have a blatant free kick missed, or report. If this process is happening, well you have me buggered.

Is the three umpire system going on at every game?
How many umpires do we have in PLFL/ in the GF league?
what is being done to fix the shortage, what can we do?

We could have the experienced umpire from the other end of the ground blow the whistle, wait while he runs 150m and make his ruling. NO.
We are starting to get a few more umpires come out slowly. I think our top 5 umpires are good but the others are only new to it all and will take time and to be treated like they were on the weekend was a true disgrace on you all.

Well grub its looking that way, things arnt going as smoothly as coach frazer probably wanted but rest assured every man is on the track giving 110% out there and we matched it with lock for 3 quarters (we were only 8 points down going into last quarter) but maybe our lack of fitness let them get 7 easy goals in the last quarter. The team is very focused this week on making a menze by putting 4 quarters together against UY. We have a couple of KEY players playing first games this weekend so are hoping for a much better result. However our B&F for the last 2 years running Ryan Modra has injured his need and see's the specialist friday to see if its a 4 week thing or a whole season.

what the f*#k is stupid comment suppose to mean??? are you saying fit people don't get injuries and unfit people do? so there are no injuries are elite sport level?? injuries take no prisoners....fit or unfit mate, they certainly don't discriminate! i guess i wouldn't have expected much more from a inexperienced coach of a bottom side from one of the weakest competitions in country australia. i would just love to see the u/19's face off against you guys in a match! lol would be comedy!

ps. this is my opinion only and i'm not having a go at anybody in particular, just stating facts

if i think you're talking about the guy i reckon you are, i think he played b grade about 3 years ago and should've probably taken the framed momento guernsey at the end of the season and hang the boots up, cos i didn't see his name in teh paper again and don't reckon the week before either. and this is the guy who had a go at me not that long ago saying hes not a b grader! yet what is he contributing to the team as a so called full forward if can't kick a goal??? :?

ps. as this is a public forum this is my opinion only and happy to hear other people comments
