Where are they lacking? They used to have a pretty good midfield, so very handy forwards and a very solid backline. I know a couple of the older players have finished up, but I would've thought some of the younger blokes would have stepped up nicely to fill the void.

I wasnt overly impressed with them, mind you, we finally put 4 good quarters of footy together and didnt really allow them to play well. Konopka looked dangerous up forward when they got it to him. Matheson was good for them too (#16 i think ?). We beat them all day in the ruck, which obviously helped us get first use. They had a bad day, but, like i said, we had a very good day.

Who was rucking for them, was it Alby? Tall bloke with black hair?

Dont think so, to be honest, i didnt really notice who rucked for them, just know they got beaten there. Rivers didnt play for them either.

Is he injured or has he told the coach to stick it too along with most of the other Port Augusta recruits?

speaking of their coach he was a dead set toss bag against us Rd 1. Has he changed yet?

Im guessing injured, i dont know anything about any other issues ???

Didnt have any probs with their coach either, but to be honest we were pretty focused on winning the game and didnt really have time to exchange barbs with their coaching group. I was runner again, and had a couple of 'words' their runner, but all good fun though

In what way Heater? I'm pretty sure he's very well respected at the club.

for starters he had a swing at one of our injured players at half time not even playing but we moved on from that.

He might be well respected by non playing club members but Im sure its a different story with the playing group. Have heard reports of the coach having stern words with players about their social habbits on a Saturday night. Fair enough before a game remind them that they have commitments the next day but after a match? They aint playing for sheep stations here or have high public profiles.

I suspect the core group that got them up to Div 3 were mates of Rivers and did not see eye to eye with the coach and have now moved on.

err too good. Actually we managed to match them in the third after being blown out of the water for the first half then couldn't sustain it for the last. just had too much class all over the ground and with only 4 or 5 blokes left from their A grade last season with the rest returning from country footy they are a massive shot to go undefeated. IMHO the PAOC side on Saturday would not look out of place in Div 2.

Our coach at Presentations said that we use it as a learning experience and not to dwell on the result so its on to this week against Lutherans then.....

To the rest of Div 4 we are only playing for 2nd place and Promotion to D3

Mitcham not bad Felch, in my opinion the Portland game was much tougher despite the similar score lines.
Iron Fist, Portland are young but I would say Haven younger possibly. On saturday 8 players 18 or younger and only 5 above 25. I've had a look to confirm and the average age for saturday was 22.47619 years of age.

yes Nigel starts his new job on the 2nd of June I believe. I reckon a typical Sharp bender is on the cards for the 31st of May...
