Did he go forward at any stage in that game..?? Previous 2 years he's struggled big time... How many times has he played against the Emu's since he's been back..?? I wouldn't mind betting he hasn't kicked 10 goals total, playing on a wing granted he is not going to kick too many, but most weeks his role in the side is to be a major focal point and kick goals.

There may have been a reason he played on the wing against the emus last time, when he plays up forward against every other team. I reckon reynella coaching staff were cutting there losses and trying to get him into the game in another position based on previous performances.
I wonder where he lines up on the weekend and how he goes? can someone let me know as I will be unable to attend to watch this blockbuster.

Hudson has given footy away after a pretty sickening injury by all accounts. Think most saturdays Whetty can be found in any number of drinking establishments in the southern suburbs.

If he is anything like the 2 we got back from the U/19's this year he should be going pretty well, not too sure on the reporting of him being the "Captain" last year...

Be talking about Liam Green KD, still only 15 (maybe just 16) and a real talent. Doesn't mind mixing it with the older guys though and has been playing some great footy.

The Kelly boys are full of enthusiasm and things are looking pretty good at the moment....
They are slowly building momentum within the senior squads....

The hardest task for Scott is to create a whole new culture! For way too long, the players have got away with lazy efforts on the track and still managed to get a game on the weekend....

Not anymore!

No train = No game!

If the Kelly Gang can stick around for a few years, the future looks very bright for the Hawks....
Some really good youngsters breaking their way into the senior sides....
Go you Hawks!

South's 19 Captain (Robinson) has been doing very well in the best first week and a solid game last week good young leader. Who are MV south players back there? And didn't Green win the U/14 medal the year before last? looked good in the B grade last year

Thought I would watch the Shoes today, still the best place to watch footy I reckon anyway - very surprised with Shoes - stayed with Valley's for first half and had a real dip but Valley's more fit and had more experienced players that stood up when it counted
Best for Valleys Mckennzie who played at CHF was Great and Pomeroy in the middle did as he liked.
Comer played his first game for the year and dominated the air and tried hard all day. Valley's need Ben Squires in the ruck back to test the top sides and Shoes have a lot of youngsters and will only get better setting up 09 in the right way.

I agree, Shoe Park is definitely one of the best places to watch footy in the SFL. Great atmosphere along that stretch in front of clubrooms and changerooms. Good seating space under cover, and the tucker's good too.
I went down to Aldinga for a look at the Sharks. They have definitely lifted further from 2007. Got within a point in final term and nearly pinched it off Christies. Getting Shrive was a real coup for them
Well done also to the Hawks. Finished just 25 points behind at Lonsdale. The Kelly Gang were on fire.

Greeny did win the medal and is still eligable for our U/16's... Great kid as well as a classy footballer, certainly hasn't looked out of his depth against some good teams in the past fortnight. The 2 we have back this year from South's 19's are Bennetts and Riley. Bennetts missed most of last year through injury but is a quality footballer and Riley won the B&F last year, both have fitted into the A grade quite well...

Emus undefeated premiers again. Made Reynella look like a bottom 8 side.

I saw Morphies trounce the Wineflys yesterday. I thought the gap between these clubs would close with all the off-season talk.
At stages Morphies looked like a league team the way they hit targets and ran the ball out of defence.
Great to see Shane Fishlock play tough hard footy. Butcher from Reynella could learn a lot from someone like Fishlock. Didnt see Butcher get many contested possessions, his chasing was poor and he was more interested in talking back to the Morphies supporters than getting the footy.
Thought Gaskin, Lock, Bayly and Pollard were good for Morphies and Zaluski killed Farrier. At times there were all new faces at the bounce for the Emus with average age around 20, all of which did well against the bigger bodies of the wineflys.
Moore tried all day, but didnt see much of Prescott, heard he got injured early but didnt see it? Milo didnt have any impact and looked frustrated all day.

Wouldn't go that far lot of footy to be played yet. I think a few questions need to be asked of their "gun" recruits though! Butcher didn't go near a contest all day and seemed happy to get a cheap kick out the back only to turn it over with the delivery. Could be a few down at the TEAC warehouse this morning handing their Plasmas back.

Milo once again failed to stand up when it counted still yet to see him perform in a big game.

Big call. I did see Milo kick 5 or 6 in a prelim last year against cove. I thought that would have counted as a big game. I didnt see the game on the weekend but if your midfield is getting smashed you can hardley blame your FFwd.
