My tips are...
Mt Compass to comfortably continue their unbeaten run (40 - 50 points)
Langhorne Creek to beat Myponga at their own game in muddy conditions (60 - 70 points)
Encounter Bay in a close one, not sure why
Willunga by a cricket score, I'm talkin 120+ points, too good.. especially at home
Saints to get their first win on the board and get off the bottom of the ladder against a hapless McLaren (20 - 30 points)

Haven't set the world on fire in matches as yet but surely they are allowed a little bit of time to adjust to a new league. They have definately bought some professionalism to the place. Everything they do in regards to training and preperation is spot on. I think they are also getting used to having greater responsibilities there is a fair bit of pressure on them to perform, Its also great to see dad (greg) and brother (jarrad) involved as well.

Wilson lads had a dip on Saturday but I'm not sure what position you would play them. They certainly didnt strike me as midfielders, moreso playing a mobile CHF role or a CHB role depending on size matchups.

Did they play in Goodwoods A1 permierships? How many of them if they did?

Limb a cricket score is not even close to how the game will go this weekend!

tips for this week
Compass 20 -30
Creeks 30 - 40
Victor 1 - 10 could be close but who will kick the goals for the bays.
Willunga 30 - 40 Straths season on the line Round 4 ?? if they lose this it will be back to their soft old ways and we are back to a 2 horse race -well one reallly.
Vale 1 - 10 Saints may get up here if they can get all the recruits on the park. Must be very dissapointed after all the preseason hype.

Well according to Jim a cricket score is somewhere between 50 and 300.. I reckon that Willunga's winning margin will fall somewhere between there.

The Wilson boys I beleive played in 2 of the flags and I think that Hayden possibly was involved in 3. As for the Saints been disppointed about their start, well it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work that out. The positive is that the Willunga and Strath games are out of the way. Remember that a lot of the hype was generated by people outside of the club after seeing the number of clearances.

Spot on LF , most of the fuss was about the amount of clearances in , but as of yet saints havent been able to field a full strength side . BJ did mclarens and creeks play the same style of play or did they put numbers behind to stop the damage . I would like to play attacking footy like hte saints than flooding .

Neither the Creeks or Mclaren played the flooding style of game hence our ability to kick a high score.

The creeks caused a lot of stoppages, and the losses of James and N Warren during the game coupled with Footner being out hurt them considerably. Tim Follett going back to stand Hams was interesting and cost them a good forward target. The Creeks will be a lot better come the 2nd time we play them and everyone (well i do) think they are a huge chance come finals time. Would have been hard to change the game plan with the loss of so many runners and big King. They will be right up there again.

Mclarens had a couple of tags and then attacked with there other players but couldnt match our intensity or fitness and by there own admission they needed to lift there work rate at training. Hopefully this occurs and they can register a few wins in the coming weeks. I heard Steve Kahl from Mclarens has done a knee and will be out for the season, huge loss if true as hes underrated and has a real dip!

Greg Wilson is a very handy bloke to have around the place LF, in his time as Emus president he had a huge influence in turning around our club from a rabble to what it is today. Ha and as for Jarrad it would be worth trying to coaxe him out of retirement, you would be hard pressed to find a more hardnosed key defender than him. Plus he was born with ALL the agrression and nastiness in the Wilson family!

Isnt Jarrod Wilsons knee stuffed? Not the most highly skilled but gives 100%, loves the hard stuff and would give the saints another big man.Worth a try

I saw steve at the Foo fighters last thurs and was moving ok. Did it happen on the weekend BJ?

What is scott wilson like , trained last night at saints and signed up , is he a good player , has'nt put the boots on for about 5 years . Trying to get Jarred to pull the boots on but i think his work committments with the landscaping make it tough though .

Iis funny how the rumor mill works. I heard a 'new' big bloke from McLarens did his knee and a 'new' big bloke from Victor has broken his collarbone.
