All good.

Well done to James, he'll probably go better for the Crows than for us, main focus of the attack and more space to work in.

He looked better last week running and jumping at the ball. Seemed to lead with greater purpose compared to the West game. Compared to the 1st game this year his defensive action was much better too.

For his sake I hope we don't see him again but he is always welcome back in black and gold.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Not that he is ready for AFL, but even Andy Otten has kicked more goals as a midfielder than Sellar this year

Hey Fellow Footy Fans,

Unfortunately, I have heard a few more whispers that C.Gowans and now Callinan might not front for the Dogs against the Bays on Sunday.

Aparently, Gowans still has a knee problem from when Alleway charged him and Nutta Callinan has an issue with a hamstring. Noodles (Elijah Ware) and Luke McCabe will be the likely two replacements with maybe Dan Boyle (Power rookie) in for the rediculously suspended skipper Thommo ???

We did get some good news thanks to the Crows though, as mentioned above...

No, unfortunatley they didn't drop Brad Symes (would have been nice though !!?) but instead have given young Glenelg lad James Sellar his debut game after dropping Kenny McGregor...

I guess this means there is one less tall forward for The Bays that our defenders have to worry about now...

Gees, I reckon it's still going to be a tough, hard fought battle, but I reckon if we can play at our best for 4 consistant quarters, we are obviously a real chance to get away with a victory... We'll just have to wait for 5.30pm Sunday arvo to find out want we... ??!!

GO U DOGGIES...

Did you watch the replay Phil? Clearly not! Alleway was late but hardly made any contact with Gownas other than his chest area. Both players laughed about it just after Gownas kicked the goal too - clearly seen on the replay! Alleway certainly didn't do anything that caused a knee problem FFS. Had he really charged him to take him out I don't think Gownas would have been able to take his kick and I'm sure Alleway would have got games but that wasn't the case!

Geez you reckon we went on about the Schubert issue but if you think Alleway should have been reported for that little bump then you need your head examined  !!!

Thanks for that Drebin,

You just proved me wrong though mate...

I thought you, and of course The Wedge were one of the "nicer" North supporters on here but like I say, reckon I might be wrong...

I was being a bit silly with the Alleway comment (must admit, did forget to put in a  ) but in answer to your question mate, YES, I did watch the replay, not only on the screen at the game but later on at home on tape a couple of times. You were spot on about the 2 boys in question having a laugh about it after, yes, I though Alleway was good in patting him on the back after it happened...

I think you will find Chris copped a "knock" on his old, dodgy knee when Alleway came into the contest, slightly late but justifiably punished only by a 25m penalty, nothing more, nothing less. I think you'll find it might actually keep Chris out of this weeks game against the Bays, according to a few posts over on the Doggies forum...

Mate, don't know about me needing my head examined, that's a bit over the top :(

Just on Shubert, interesting to see him dropped to the ressies this week, has he been playing that bad lately or is he just a victim of Jarman's choice to give a few younger reserves players an opportunity ??? I certainly wasn't implying that there are few North supporters who harped on about the J.Gowans / Shubert thing, more so the fact they were refusing to accept the fact that Shane hit him first therefore James had his suspension reduced by the 3 games.

Anyway mate, once again, it was meant to be "tounge in cheek" with my Alleway comment earlier, but understandibly see that without my little wink or a note implying sarcasm, it looked as though I was all serious with what I said. Not so mate, not so...

Enough said on that now though, good luck to your boys on the weekend, I reckon you should have a comfy win, but it might be a bit tougher for us though...

GO U DOGGIES...

This is not having a go against Centrals or its supporters . Need to make that quite clear .

The incident between Alleway & Gowans I saw. I watched it and before it was replayed I said to my mate , watch this Gowans will not react cos I reckon that was Alleway and he is bigger than Gowans . What happenned ......nothing. Its OK to be big & brave against small blokes but some " laugh it off " against the bigger ones.

Are you confusing Chris with James? Chris is far less aggressive in this manner and rarely takes things further, unless James is involved.

Even still, James is a lot smaller than Schubert...

We get the picture drebin. All North players are saints and pure as the driven snow. The Gowans/Alleway clash was right in front of me. Alleway went in with both knees at Gowans. FACT.
Gowans was limping after that collision. FACT.

I never said North players are saints FFS - show me where that was stated or inferred before highlighting the word FACT in an attempt to win an argument!

P.S. See if you can blame the North player for the Thomas suspension - after all a North player was involved. I bet you could twist that to suit your FACTS!

Hang on a second Dutchy...

There is a BIG difference in the descriptive meaning of the words: WANTING and THINKING :-k

I didn't say I WANTED him dropped, i just mentioned that maybe I THINK he might be squeezed out of the final 21, it's called an OPINION mate... :-s

I am really happy for Cam to see him named to start as I reckon he just needs more game time to prove his worth in the team, look out for him to have a good game... 8)

Get your facts right mate before having a go at me... :-#

I'm glad that he didn't react - we had been given a free shot on goal. I don't think you can accuse the Gowans's of only picking on small blokes - James' 3 weeks holiday was for hitting a bloke bigger than him.

I think they showed great discipline against Norf. Something I have been critical about at times.
We used to be good :-(
