Sprinter, yeah.
Good team to watch fullstop, at the moment. Good brand of footy.
Didn't hear about the charming phrases some locals wrote. That's just a disgrace a)During your clubs 50th year celebrations b)Making someone from your club now clean it up c)not back ANY of it up...A's down by 87...B's by 119 and i don't think they won the colts or juniors. I do find that hilarious.
I have some mates there, I would say it would have been youngsters going too far.
It indicated to me that mentally, skill-wise and physically, Lofty are very hard to match up on. Even though bridgey's ruckman was 6 foot 100.

And if that Hardacre rumour is true, that's a big loss.

Yes indeed that will be a big loss for Uraidla. Yes Mt Lofty were extremely impressive considering the players they had out. There will be a big squeeze for spots in the A grade team when players such as White, Pahl, Wait, Burch, Artis, Nielsen, O'Gorman return from injury. I also notice some A Grade players from last season in Scamoni and Wallis running round in the magoos. Lets just say that there will be some very handy footballers running round in the B Grade. Huge game this week for Blackwood against Hahndorf. If they lose this one they could well kiss the season goodbye.

bazz
blackwood will struggle in a big way this year. word is they lost 32 players across 4 teams from last year. and currently have a stack of injuries.
maccy beat them 2 weeks ago, and maccy will finish in the bottom half. and the central team is yet to win.

I think there Central team have lost a few, but all teams lose a few. And with the pool they have to choose from ,you'd think they'd make most of it up.
I haven't seen them, so I can't comment much about who they've got on the park. But zip and 4, possibly zip and 5 ( I reckon Hahndorf will beat them) is very hard to come back from. BUT, I think if they win this week, that may be what they need.
I reckon from spot 3 to 7 on the ladder will be tight.

Yeah, it'd be tough to get a game in either grade at Lofty, hasn't been like that for a LONG time there. it's good.
Their magoos are very handy, the inclusion of Wallis will be very tough for B grade defences to manup on, esp. when Madsen sits at FF after injury.

Paul Clements is definitely is a 'will do' bloke. He has massively had a hand in turning the club around.
Some quality recruits, a couple of REAL quality recruits mind you, with some experience and real run makes for a good start.
I haven't really spoken to Grainger but he seems to get along well with the players.
Some of the lads out there that have played at Lofty thru juniors have lifted with the quality around them.

There was no sacking.

Interesting results guys.

Enough of lofty for the minute. I swear there is just Lofty supporters on here!!

Uraidla have been labelled the premiership favourites this year from various sources. They seem to be smashing teams by ten goals and no one has been talking about them. I reckon they will finish top two this year along with Lofty.

They have some quality players including some really good recruits who have jumped on board this year. Helps having scotty sutherland as coach.

Did anyone get to the uraidla game and give me a low down on what happened. I went to a few games late last year and was impressed with Tavner, Anderson and Hardacre. How are they travelling??

Lobethal seem to be hitting some straps, how are the famous gun recruits Cook and Ormand Allen travelling?
How good is footy!

Hey, Chook. There seems to be supporters from all over the hills. People just tend to talk about teams we may know a bit about. I'm happy to hear about any other teams.
Of course Lofty will get some air time when their average winning margin is about 100 pts. But teams from both divs have been discussed, you just musn't have been on here...
Real gutsy out-on-a-limb comment with the Uraidla/Lofty top 2 finish, too...
Read recent postings, Hardacre seems to have departed.

I agree, 2 & 1 isn't a bad spot to be in.
Sounds like Ormond Allen is there on and off, not every week. Judging by what the Courier said.
Waters will usually kick goals. Haven't heard much else. Haven't played finals since 2000 I think. Usually a pretty tough team to get over. May fill in 5th or 4th...

Hey guys, notice in the Courier that Kersbrook and Maccy are starting to make an impression. May be they have been forgotten in Country fancies? A side with Lallard, ex Bay boys Murray and Fogden, plus Long, McIntyre and former Sturt player Joey Wyatt ain't too rough! Obviously they took a while to get points on board, but could be one to watch in mid-season. Brookers just keep winning games, and don't forget, are currently only ones to beat Echunga. Brad Pearce must be knocking up the umpy votes, while his brother Nathan, the Hughes boys, Chopper Westley and Jimmy Morrison get plenty of the ball. and big ugly Tappy oozes a bit of physcial menace! Once again, quiet achievers, who could cause some grief. While on Country, have heard a whisper that one particular club may not be 'flying' so high at this stage. Current form suggests in for a long season, suggestions maybe a few may migrate in an easterly direction.
