I believe one of those three you were talking about Mav was running around with the Devils last night at training!!!

This is a serious bonus for Mt Lofty....seriously!

You guy's had the right idea, just didn't have the team to do it at that time.

actually we've made up a lot of ground on the top 5 this year...we've already played the best 3 sides hahndorf, lofty and uradila and been competitive in 2 out of 3....i agree we didn't have the team to do it last year... but we did. and we're here, and we aint moving. so you just enjoy what'l soon be a 6 or 7 team competition in country div. we'l keep running around with the big boys.

Rooster.. dont get ahead of yourself.. you lost by 60 points to uraidla last weekend and you call that competitive. You will not push onkas this week.. they have 3 players coming back into their side and will show you that you are in the same position as last year..

You've certainly gotta give credit to Birdwood for giving Central a crack. I didn't see any improvement when teh Devs played them but alledgedly they had 8 blokes out. All reports suggest that they are on the right track which is great for the club. Hopefully they can become a consistant contender in the Central ranks.

However, it's clear to everyone that the top Country Div sides are getting stronger and stronger. I can't see the big deal for teams to swap between the two divisions based on performance. It would certainly make for a much more dynamic and competitive competition across the board. If the bottoms two teams were relegated from Central and obviously the top two from Country to be promoted, how good would that be. It would certainly solve the problem childrem of the league like Bridgewater, Meadows an co.

I agree with you Dashin - you certainly wouldn't have seen any improvement when you played us. If anything, the opposite!! Even having that many guys out, it was probably the worst game we've played in about 5 years.

The coach gave us a rocket and worked us over at the trainings last week which we deserved and we came out and played much better against Uraidla.

Personally, I don't think the scoreboard was a true reflection of the way the game went. With about 15 minutes to go in the game we didn't have a bench left due to injuries and Uraidla were able to pick up their pace and kick the last 4-5 goals.
But up until that point it was a well fought and close game which may have surprised Uraidla a bit after seeing the score from the previous week against Lofty.
Our biggest challenge is now to play that type of footy week in, week out and really take it up to teams like Onkas, Mt Barker, Ironbank.

Birdwood should be the last thing you're worrying about at the moment!

You just concentrate on how you are going to try and beat Kersbrook and Torrens Valley in the next two weeks!!

yes flash gordon was training with lofty last nit and from all reports was as happy as pig in the mud. looks like if he can get cleared will be back playing with the devils.

with all this relegation talk think people need to understand that its not just about the a grade. if u go up or down a division so does every team at the club. now dont believe that bridgy has won a under 17's game yet but they do have to many players and blokes missing out on a game are helping out kersbrook under 17's. the bridgy 17's did make the finals last year and a fair few of those players are now playin a grade. there are a few senior players at bridgy who wanted to play div 2 but alot of the club didn't want to. if they were to go to div 2 i alot of juniors would leave. unfortunatly its hard to keep everyone happy. if bridgy can't recruit next year as well as lofty did when they were struggling the only option would be to go down to div 2.

Yeah if you go back a bit Ron i mentioned that Bridgey didn't want to go down because of their Juniors but then i got laughed at for claiming they were strong...not that i'd know.

Let's be honest though, they won't recruit well, they can't possibly attract the players with their facilities....they're done and dusted....It's time to go...............
