From all reports he signed with Victor last week. Does anyone know if he lined up down that way?

Clearance went through Friday, so you would've thought he played for them on the weekend.

Good to see the lions roar back into some form sat. Lead brilliantly by a couple of old timers in the McIntyre's. Will get some quality players back in the next week or 2 should have the team back on track and winning more games than they lose this year. Was excited by the news that ledgend killer was to be roaming the forward line sat only to be let down when he didn't show his face im sure he had a good reason though :partyman: :partyman:

Their aren't any egos at the vineyard are there? Or have they just come in recently?

Surely an innocent question like that wouldn't ruffle any feathers.

I would say this was the closest round the SFL has seen in a few years? Biggest loss only 88 points, still happened to be the Hawks though.

That 88 point loss was to a likely bottom 3-4 side as well...

Port Noarlunga has been pretty dissapointing for me, i had big expectations for them this year. After Emus smashed them in the final trial match they were then belted by Cove in round 1 and lost fairly easily to Happy Valley last week. Sure both Cove and Valley will be round the mark come finals time, but i thought the excellently named Cockledivers should be putting pressure on the top 4. Dunno who they got this week, hopefully they can sort themselves out!

Lead by the fanatical Morphies Magic it looks like the Twisties are on the improve with 2 wins already, and by all reports Hackham and Aldinga are showing some promise. Dont wanna pick a final ladder just yet, will wait till after the big clash this Sunday!

Has the mighty overwhelming football brilliance of M. Size spoken for itself yet? Has his $350 a game demand been worth it for Cove?

Pretty quick to jump on Sizey.... Have you seen him play this year yet or just having a go at him for the sake of it??
Had you seen him against Port Noarlunga round 1 I doubt you would be throwing barbs at him...He was very good!!!
As for the injury he didn't play last week against Reynella so if it was planned i reckon the injury may have come AFTER cove's great win against Reynella and not missed the Reynella game because of injury.

I think you'll find the proof of how well spent the money is, will be how he travels against the top sides.
All well and good to play good footy against the lesser sides but it doesn't mean to much if you can't perform when it counts. Think we should probably wait till he's been up against the likes of Brookman and Short as to if Cove made the right choice. IMO I think he will go missing in these games.
