This week could be the only chance Willunga are going to be challenged, so if they don't lose this weekend then they won't all year. I hear you could be playing a new position this week BJ??? One that someone like myself would play!!!

Certainly not P32. Strong as ever this weekend! :?

We will be putting a side on the park this week that will be competitive with Strath. Great to have challenges early in the season and this week will definitely be a tough game.

Hey Kappars, this TC has confidence in the Saints. Obviously Teflon Coated has not seen McLaren yet. They are playing badly and Saints will win their first game for 2008.
Other winners - Willunga, Compass, Creek and a draw. BJ, any injuries at Willunga for this Saturday that could affect the result?

Don't mind me, I just get the impression a few saints people are on here and like judge all others without having achieved anything in 08 themselves. No harm just a bit of stoushing; all in gest boys.

Victor - midfield are to good
Willunga - Even without Ryan, Haskett etc. Baxter to be back(pocket)

Creek - although Pongy are plowing the oval as we speak
Saints - For Popeys sake
Compass - But not by a huge margin

If Burgess (Westies and Broadview A1) and Ellis (PHOS Camden) are only 1 point instead of the additional 3 then Strath are going to be under, but if they are the extra 6 they would be sitting on the maximum 32. What they have now is room for another 2 players by thier calcualtions. It is important Saints and Myponga continue thier stand.

How is Burgess going??? Has he got on the park yet?

Burgess has played. I would love to give my opinion but I am a bit worried that Teflon boy will have a go at me beacuse of haven't achieved anything yet. Anyway in round 1 against us he looked handy. Had good delivery from his midfield and at the time I thought that a player like him could take the focus off of Duff and provide a good second option. I then saw him v L Creek where he had minimal impact. in both games spent a lot of time on the bench. Maybe he has a few niggling injuries. Having said this his coach asked him for a better work rate at the 3/4 time speech. Strath need him firing to challenge Willunga.

One thing I can say is that he is VERY handy for a 1 point player!!!!!!!

Interesting, couldn't get a kick last year, very prone to injury and heart issues (soft). Left Div 1 with not a great deal of sadness, can play but i think it was a bit hard for him. Good luck to him down there though. Could kick a bunch of goals if delivery is spot on and backmen not switched on.

Cant see him kicking too many bags. Has only kicked 5 for the year out of a total of his teams 59 and in his most recent match (against some better defenders) he didnt trouble the scrorers, but looks as though he can play.

Do any clubs have any big ins that have yet to be seen in 08? If everyone plays the points system the same as Strath we could see one or two new big pick ups. Creek are still to see Rogers in 08.

Give it time Limb! Its only Round 3, weve also got Eamon Bull, Jock Harvey and Matthew Moody to return at some point this season and a surprise in Paul Carpenter having a kick in the magoos this week!

The GSFL should've of at the very least placed themselves in a position to enforce rules early while all clubs are getting used to the system, as it is with the seeming lack of communication between clubs and the league its becoming a farce. After round 1 clubs (strath) who were rumoured to be in breach should've of been warned and given the chance to explain; this should not be handled coming into round 4! If the penalty is great then strath will fight it all season one would think which also may see the GSFL back down and turn a blind eye - I hope this is settled very quickly for the sake of your association in the short term.

Back to footy; tips for round four?

PLAYERS DECLARATION FORM at the time of registration each player shall complete a statement in the form provided by the GSFL which shall provide information concerning the players previous playing history. FALSE DECLARATION any player or official of a club found guilty of providing false or misleading information shall be liable to penalties including (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) player de registration ;suspension and or fine .In addition the club of such player may be liable to a fine and or loss of competition points .

my tips for the week

Mt compass 5 points - i think this game will be very close, shitty conditions at mt compass last sat ensured they scrape through over the bays but at yank the story could be very differnt
Langhorne Creek - 50+ points
Encounter Bay - 39 points, bays will have a full team this week and injury free minus 1 player, victor could win if richo is rucking, depends if they clear him or not,
Strath - big upset, strath to take this game and the season
McClaren - tend to agree with teflon, saints are all talk and no action, dunno what it is, good group of guys but cant seem to get it together on the oval.
