There was a bloke running around with the Roosters quite a few years back (might have been more than 10) - Boo Eddy, he was right up there with the best.

Joel and Jared Wilson certainly up there.
Josh Hollitt was great.
Todd Thorne clearly amongst the best of em, three medals walks the walk.
Ryan Reid has been pretty bloody handy. Consistently kicks goals and gets the footy. Class.
Luke Slattery deserves a mention. Was unreal for a couple of years but started pretty slowly.
Brad Valentine quality.
Hayden Walker a certain starter.

im sure i have forgotten a few.

I watched Brad valentine play on saturday for Kapunda... He may have had an off day but he certainly didnt look like a leagues top 10 player. Looked like a strong tackler though...

Theres a big difference between the 2 comps. He will just be a player in the barossa. Dont think he was a top ten player at hummocks

There's been plenty of guys in this league who've had a few great years then gone elsewhere or struggled with injury. As for blokes who've been consistently good over a long period you can't go past guys like Jazz, Joel, Thorne, Whiskey, Pymy and heaps of others I can't be bothered typing. The type of guys that are loyal club men and bust there ass every week for the jumper. In my opinion these are the guys that make a club succesful.

Im a really big fan of the lion hearted tiger, Simon Schulz. A supremely built athlete whom oozes poise and has a strong work ethic. A model player who's loyalty and consistency cant be questioned. T Opitz deserves a mention, runner up in several mail medals, always got plenty of the ball and a class player in his prime.

As I've already stated Schulz is a hack. You're right about Opitz though, came to United as import in early ninety's and the little bugger just won't leave! Great player and bloke, hope he decides to pull on the boots one more time this year...

Why hasn't anyone mention the great Jason Earl? He would have the most league experience out of anyone in the APFL who has rocked up to a GF.

My Tips
Mallala vs Hummocks - Should be a great game. Pies by 14 points
Hamley Bridge vs Balaklava - Peckers to take home the points comfortably by 12 goals
Two Wells vs Virginia - Roosters should be too good for the Rammers. Two Wells by 38 points (where's Ricky O?)
- Burley footballs to be blamed for all clangers
- Hamley Bridge player to read this site but not contribute
- A redhead to star in the Pies/Eagles game

Spoke to him recently, moving like a 40 year old. Playing on the likes of S Schultz in Round 1 dealt a real reality check to the lad. Hack is around the mark Pint of!
Next subject.....

Tips this week:

Mallala vs Hummocks: Pies up against it, chance to go 0-2, will need something special to beat eagles whom will be the benchmark again!
Hamley Vs Balak: peckers by a few
In the derby, the Roosters to cream the rammers.
and
RickyO play VS no Ricky O, ill go with RickyO to play his first and last.

I'll go Mallala over Hummocks by few points. The pie little men will love it in the forecast rain.

Balak should pump Hamley.

Two Wells in a close one over virginia, Ricky Ohhhh! to kick 5.

United have the bye so I'll be pissed by midday! (ps Swamp theres no 't' in Schulz)
