How about the WWTE helping out these struggling junior clubs - running clinics at their Ovals, promoting football in their areas - after all its the WWTE zone.

=D> =D>

My son lives at Blakview and we have received several flyers from the Bulldogs doing football clinics during the holidays, there's a team that cares about junior development and with the bulk of their underage coming primarily from the BLG, to do coaching clinics at Elizabeth is brilliant.

Wake up Woodville-West Torrens and send a few lads out in a van with some pies and pasties, it would make a world of difference.

The zone is 35 minutes from both Thebarton and Woodville Ovals - North Adelaide send a rep to the Northern areas, Port Pirie etc every second week to watch potential players - Sturt run a bus from Murray Bridge, through their feeder towns to training once (might even be twice) a week to ensure ALL kids in their zone at least get the opportunity to have a crack at a higher level. What are the Eagles doing? I reckon there are currently 7 APFL bred players in the U19s, at least 2(?) in the U17s but where are the Officials - get off your butts and get out and support those clubs and leagues that support you and perhaps we wouldn't need to put in place these ridululous mercy rules.

Thought that he did well in the first game, kicked three, but got injured, hammy or calf?

Quinton will pull the comp apart even if he has put on a bit of beef. Last week and agianst hummocks he had the best player in the plains league for the past ten years on him Jared Wilson. He is a gun. He wont come up against to players that good in this comp.

You would think though, as a prime recuit to a leading club that one should get more out of a 4 0r 5 time sanfl premiership player. Up until the Mallala game he had trained just a handful of times, and it showed. When you say he played well in that game he kicked three goals having about 5 touches, not sure thats enough. Lets hope they have put the hard word on him, because he'll just keep doing what he's doing otherwise and just sit in the goal square. He is a freak of nature when he is fit, but he's a while away from that yet. What an assett he'll be though when and if he does do some work on the track.

The best player in the last ten years? Good player, yes, but his cousin goes alright and there was a bloke running around at mallala who was pretty handy also, let's just say he's in the top ten!

Agree with most of those but I think Mick Davey would have to be the most talented footballer I've seen running around in this league
