Oval is green, but real hard underneath. My right leg has a huge weeping graze from hitting the deck a couple of times on the boundary, got stuck to the sheets and had to rip them off the wound Sunday morning![]()
Ouch! thanks for that. I dont realy like playing at school grounds loses the club feeling of a saturday.

I hear ya loud and clear, Quichey. Won't go into it, all I will say is that it was extremely disappointing. As to what effect it had on the result in a close game, we'll never know
i thought heccies v lockleys had really gd umpires. one of the best in div 6. they were very consistent. think one of their names were goodwin.
on the other hand the boundary ump (think he was from heccies) will never umpire again i hope. first boundary throw in he literally dropped the ball over his head. 2nd n 3rd attempt werent much better than the field ump had to do it. right in front of the spectators as well. think he learnt a few new words on sat to talk about at show and tell

The umpire with the beard in this game was a former member of the SANFL umpires squad. He is a very good umpire however he was only doing a one off amateur game as he umpires in a country league and had the week off last week.
Was the boundary umpire the same kid that did the B's? He had to stand 5m inside the line in the B's to even get the ball close to the contest.
