Looks like the eastern match ups are settled:

Boston v Atlanta
Detriot v Phili
Orlando v Toronto
Cleveland v Washington

Good to the Hawks break a long playoff drought, even though they finished with a losing record.

Boston and Detriot the only teams from the East that could win it you would think.

41 win season for my Blazers (with one game to go), which most would have taken at the start of the season given injuries and the strength of the west. Hopefully 45+ next season and a long overdue return to the postseason.

StKFC- 58 years..

Cleveland vs Washington
Game One
93-86 (Cleveland lead 1-0)

LeBron James scored 32 points, 20 in the second half as the Cavs outscored the Wizards 28-17 in the last quarter, including 9-2 in the last 1min 47sec. James was able to let his actions do the talking after Wizard player DeShawn Stevenson called him overrated last month, while Stevens scored 3 points on 1-9 shooting. James showed his class by responding "93-86, is the only words I need to say."

San Antonio vs Phoenix
Game One
117-115 2OT (San Antonio lead 1-0)

Tim Duncan had 40 points and 15 revounds and Manu Ginobili scored the game winning layup with 1.8 secods left for the defending champs, who continue the tradition of classic matchups with the Suns in recent years. The game went into overtime as the Spurs came back from 16 down with a Finley score with 15 seconds left in regulation, while the second overtime came from an unlikely source - a 3 pointer with only three second on the clock from --- TIM DUNACN.

New Orleans vs Dallas
Game One
104-92 (New Orleans lead 1-0)

Chris Paul celebrated his playoff debut with 35 points (the most in a players first playoff game since 1979) and 10 assists. Paul recieved great help from David West with 23 points and Tyson Chandler with 10 points and 14 rebounds. Dallas were led as normal by Dirk Nowitzki, 31 points and 10 rebounds, but were not going to threaten the number two seeded Hornets by shooting 33 percent from the floor.

Jazz and Cavs both take 2-nil leads and effectively end both series'.

Looks like the Rockets are just no match for Utah without Yao (I still would have tipped the Jazz though).

LA Lakers vs Denver
Game One
128-114 (Los Angeles lead series 1-0)

Pau Gasol's first post season victory (after 12 losses with the Gizzlies)once again showed the all round weapons that the Lakers posses. Gasol totalled 36 points, 16 rebounds, 8 assists and 3 blocks. Complementing Gasol's career night Bryant had 32 points, Odom grabbed 17 points, 14 boards and six assists, while Luke Walton scored 16 points. The Nuggets were lead by Iverson and Anthony both with 30 points, but shot poorly (23-37 62%) from the line and got little from their big men. Camby had 4 points on 2-9 shooting and Martin contributed only 5 points on 1-7 shooting.

Boston vs Atlanta
Game One
104-81 (Boston lead series 1-0)

The Celtics had all the answers against a team that won 29 less games during the season, with six players scoring double figures. Allen lead scorers with 18 points, while MVP hopeful Garnett had a another double-double with 16-10. The Hawks shot only 38per cent from the field (21 from three point land), with Joe Johnson missing 15 shots on his way to 19 points and 7 assists.

Detroit vs Philadelphia
Game One
86-90 (Philadelphia lead series 1-0)

The Sixers outscored the Pistons 27-16 to run over the second seeds. Rasheed Wallace totalled 24 points, nine rebounds and a franchise equalling playoff best of seven blocks, but took responsibility for his team letting a 15 point lead evaporate. Andre Miller scored 20 points, while Willie Green notched a career playoff high 17 for the Sixers, who came into this series as rank underdogs.

Orlando vs Toronto
Game One
114-100 (Orlando lead series 1-0)

The Magic came out hard and fast notching 43 points in the first quarter and were never headed as they cruised to a game one win. Dwight Howard, who lead the NBA with 69 regular season double-doubles had anight out collecting 25 points, 22 rebound and 5 blocks as the Magic were able to limit Raptor star Chris Bosh to four field goals with the tight defense of Rashard Lewis.

Utah vs Houston
Game One
93-82 (Utah lead series 1-0)

Utah held the Rockets to a meiserly 36.7 percent shooting while making iver 52 percent of their own shots. Game Over. The pressure that the Jazz was able to exert defensively took its toll on a team missing its starting centre, Yao Ming and point guard, Rafer Alston. Utah, only 17-24 on the road during the regular season took the initiative in Houston, as they beat up on the Rockets, outrebounding them and outscoring them in the paint, while their reserves outscored their Rocket counterparts 28-17.

Houston vs Utah
Game Two
84-90 (Utah lead series 2-0)

Luis Scola was called for an offesnsive foul with one minute on the clock as Bobby Jackson nailed a three pointer that would have tied the scores at 85, Utah then held strong to record its second victory in Texas. The series now heads to Utah, were the Jazz went 37-4 during the regular season. McGrady, attempting to carry his team without allstar Yao Ming had 23 points, 13 rebound and 9 assists, once again failed to get it done whan it counted. The Rocket star, who has never advanced past the first round of the playoffs was 0-4, scoring only one point in the fourth quarter, taking his serier total in the last period to 0-7 field goals. For the Jazz Deron William scored 22 points, while Mehmet Okur finished with 16 points and 16 rebounds.

Cleveland vs Washington
Game Two
116-86 (Cleveland lead series 2-0)

LeBron James once again terrorised the Wizards, with a allround performace that saw him just miss his third playoff triple double, with 30 points, 12 assists and 9 rebounds. He had plenty of help as the Cavs shot 52 overall and outrebounded the Wizards 49-34. Ilgauskas scored 16 points and had 9 rebounds, while Ben Wallace scored 8 points and collected 7 rebounds in just 18 minutes, such was the domination, only James played more than 30 minutes. Gilbert Arenas, came off the bench for seven points, but shot just 2 of 10 from the field.

My hearts says N'orleans... my head says Boston.

As long as Detroit or San Antonie don't win, I'm happy.

Wouldn't write the Pistons off yet (and the Spurs obviously goes without saying).

I don't reckon Boston will win it.

New Orleans vs Dallas
Game Two
127-103 (New Orleand lead series 2-0)

Chris Paul found a way to improve on his playoff debut, set a franchise playoff record with 17 assists and add a lazy 32 points to it. The support that he got showed that the Hornets are not just a one man team, with five other players in double figures, as the team shot an incredible 61 percent. Dallas was once again led by Dirk Nowitzki with 27 points, but no other starter scored more than ten points for the Mavs who now head home, where the Mavs have not lost to the Hornets since 1998. This will surely change if the Paul and the Hornets are allowed to score at will as they have in the first two games. The series now heads north, with renewed Raptor confidence, but also the doubt that losing at the buzzer on the road can bring.

San Antonio vs Phoenix
Game Two
102-96 (San Antonio lead series 2-0)

Fast break points 23-4, now think again, the Spurs had 23! The Spurs were able to do as they pleased in the second half as they came back from a 14 point defecit in the first half, with a punishing 27-11 third quarter. The star players had big numbers for both teams, Nash had 23 points, 10 assists, O'Neal 19 points and 14 boards, while Amare Stoudemire totalled 33 points, but best personified the Suns, as he went 2-11 in the second half. The Spurs got big production from its own big three, as Parker lead the Spurs with 32 points and 7 assists, with help from sixth man of the year, Ginobili's 29 points and Tim Duncan's total game that included 18 points, 17 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks.

Orlando vs Toronto
Game Two
104-103 (Orland lead series 2-0)

The Raptors figured out how to beat the Magic, but Chris Bosh couldnt hit the game winning shot from the top of the key with one second left to take the lead. Dwight Howard once again owned the inside for the Magic, who held a 50-26 scoring advantage in the paint, with 29 points and 20 rebounds. The difference was that the Magic shooting touch evaporated, with Orlando going 9-31 from long range, including 0-13 for Turkoglu and Lewis. Chris Bosh once again lead the Raptors with 29 points and 10 rebounds, but had help from Jason Kapono with 20 points, Jose Calderon 18 and Carlos Delfino scoring 16 points.

The NBA voted earlier this week 28-2 to move the Seattle SuperSonics to Oklahoma City from next season. Civic leaders and government officials from Seattle are contesting the decision.

Not surprising they are contesting it..they have had a disgraceful team and have a chance to have a playoff contender withtin the next two years. (You have to be a contender with that many early draft choices.)

Spurs Ginobili best 6th Man

Manu Ginobili of the San Antonio Spurs is the winner of the NBA Sixth Man Award as the league’s best player in a reserve role for the 2007-08 season.
