jus talking about the divisions where you dont get professional umpires and usually kids umpiring.

Its pretty common to get kids doing the boundry. They are the only ones willing to do it. HB why dont your organise the next boundry ump for your team.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

yeah tucky was your best player by a mile, but only because we kept kicking the ball to him! Will he be called upon if the A grade get a few injuries? Not much else to choose from really...

we normally sing it on the oval for the committee and supporters (b grade), then we sing it again for ourselves in the changerooms, mostly at home games though.

just seen as cocky to some ppl but when the opp team sings it on the oval i have no problem with it. i personally dont like singing it on the oval unless its for someones milestone or a gd win. i know when kymbo played his 150th game a few seasons back we sang it infront of the balcony. i was a spectator back then and it was deserved to be sang on the oval.

If anyone see's it as cocky then they need to get out more and grow a thicker skin. Even my sons U11 team sing it on the oval - cocky no, pride yes.

That's exactly why you should sing it every chance you get. Every club/grade goes through bad years. You should cherish every win and celebrate the good times, kinda makes the bad times not so bad...

...try and stop axe and the boys from singing it on the oval when they have a win this year!!

I hear ya loud and clear, Quichey. Won't go into it, all I will say is that it was extremely disappointing. As to what effect it had on the result in a close game, we'll never know

i thought heccies v lockleys had really gd umpires. one of the best in div 6. they were very consistent. think one of their names were goodwin.
on the other hand the boundary ump (think he was from heccies) will never umpire again i hope. first boundary throw in he literally dropped the ball over his head. 2nd n 3rd attempt werent much better than the field ump had to do it. right in front of the spectators as well. think he learnt a few new words on sat to talk about at show and tell

Good to see the blokes abusing him put their hands up to do the boundary umpiring........

easy solution is some1 from the club to teach them how to throw in, not the hardest skill most 14 year olds can do it, it hard 2 defend the effort of our boundary ump but no need to abuse him, i was umpiring u/10 trial/friendly match on sunday and good to see para hills coach giving me abuse, set not example to his players and they were already arguing with me.
