I hear ya loud and clear, Quichey. Won't go into it, all I will say is that it was extremely disappointing. As to what effect it had on the result in a close game, we'll never know

i thought heccies v lockleys had really gd umpires. one of the best in div 6. they were very consistent. think one of their names were goodwin.
on the other hand the boundary ump (think he was from heccies) will never umpire again i hope. first boundary throw in he literally dropped the ball over his head. 2nd n 3rd attempt werent much better than the field ump had to do it. right in front of the spectators as well. think he learnt a few new words on sat to talk about at show and tell

Its a joke, people are the first to complain about s**t umpires. but the ones who do it get abused. Many of these kids are 14-15 and getting $20 to run the boundary for 2 hours (Which is not easy work).Always a hero or 2 to yell out stuff. but hey that kid could be breaking into youre car or belting you up as you walk to the shop. some idiots need to look at them selves.

Totally agree mate. We had one of our u14s run boundary for us on saturday and he reckons he copped a fair bit from the Hope Valley crowd over near our scoreboard. Im not saying any of our supporters are innocent either but it is very unfortunate for us because he now has decided not to do it again.

the club should have an duty to make sure the boundary ump can throw decently. we all expect to hav the boundary ump who constantly throws the ball short but thats well expected for div 6.

Seems pretty obvious to me that if he cant throw very far then maybe he comes in a couple metres. Instead of abuse maybe a polite suggestion wouldnt hurt.

thanks sdemon for the reminder i had 1 mark and 1 kick, but you must consider the fact that i was actually forward pocket on saturday and since standing there for 2 qtrs talking to my opponent just to pass the time away until tucky the other 170kg plus monster and myself decided just to move ourselves up the field for a kick, and when you have 2 blokes of that size having to do something to create a few goals you know ur in trouble, i can make excuses all day but the truth is we have alot of c graders in the side and probably wont be competitive all year.
