Ohhhh eppie....please oh please tell us one person that you know of we have chucked an amount of money that you say your current club cant afford. You sound like all the other 50+ heirachy at your club who have a nice winge without knowing ANY of the fact....any players that have left your club this year have done so to get away from a failing club not to try and become millionares

Fair comment. maybe the same can be said for Lincoln South and Waybacks

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

Next Bostons Vs Tasmans will be on a Fri night. Round 3 i think. Be there cos it will be a much different side playing.
Late hit was no 5 Killa on a young Dan Harris. Was pretty big of him to shout his mouth off at us telling us to toughen up then 5 secs later to come over and try to appoligise.

We had a new guy lined up to play for us from broken hill this year. may have only been a b grader but got a job with KD building and got the hard word and is not playing for us.

If Bostons play like that in the minor rounds we won't play finals, simple!! Not having Watho in the ruck or at CHB severely depletes our overall structure. We need him sound for the year to be contenders, big reliance on the big fella.

Thought Tassies played quite well, prepared to run for each other. Were getting front and square where we took the easy option to run past the contests looking for an easy one out the back. Tassies certainly had more desire and were looking to secure a win a lot more than we were. They will cause sides a few headaches this year and I was grateful for the wake up we got. Heard murmurs of flogging them, cold in the backlines etc when we were warming up from some of our boys. Result is what happens when you don't do the hard yards, I was freezing at FF for us.... :?

Thank god it was only a trial.....

Didn't say they did leave WT and who has left Tasmans this year because we are a failing club?
And for the record I have no problem if a football club finds a player work then requires that player to play for them. Also didn't say I had a problem with your club recruiting - just a problem with you having a go at other clubs recruiting methods (and I don't need to go on a fact finding mission)

Your off the mark I reckon Tips. KD is a long time player, supporter and sponsor of the TFC. He wants to see them do well. When he has a job vacancy why wouldn't he give it to someone who would play for Tasmans. It's what sponsors do, EVERYWHERE!! I would be unhappy if Doug McFarlane needed a brickies labourer and preseason he put on somone who was going to play for EU or Waybacks or anyone other than Bostons. Said this before but why do you think Millard is now at Waybacks, JOB......

RR this was only a trial you wanker but this has put us back a peg or two and is a wake up call that we all needed.
Firstly I was impressed with the speed of the game and thought it was played in good spirits. Well done to Tasmans they showed speed and have some good young talent coming through. I think if Marty could have his time over again he would have done things diferently for example Why was Joel left in the backlines? Why was no one put on Campbell? Marshall was left at CHF for to long and why was Marshy taken from the middle?
On a postive note I was impressed with young Marshy and I am coming around to the idea of Tom playing loose in the backlines with his clever disposal, although it irates me that he gathers the ball and always runs backwards.
One bloke number 5 for Tasmans they were calling Killer, this guy did nothing but squeel all night at the umpires. It was a trial and he just kept going on and on in his high pitched voice it made me want to leave.
His hit after the siren was about as weak as it gets on one of our up and coming lads after the siren. One day the penny might drop with this kiler guy and I hope his balls do to.

If you are having a go at our recruiting methods and you saying and i quote "Offer more money than you know the current club can afford and hope the player chooses money over mates and family" then you are in fact attacking my club, there is no way EU would try and steal players away from your club because we knew you were so far in debt, as i am getting higher and higher up the scale at the club i am seeing alot more of the figures etc that we do infact offer to players if need be (apart from the famour 1.53 per km) and it is nothing to write home i assure you eppie...

Fully agreed there panther, but I do have a bit of an issue when a young guy starting out in a career gets told he has a job (his very first out of school) only if he plays for a certain club. (Insert name of any club in here)....no problems with experienced players but young kids is a bit unfair imho.
I hear that a planned coup by one of last nights combatants with a high profile ranger was unsuccessful.

Geez everyones a bit testy on here for a friday morning.
Lets get one thing straight, IT WAS ONLY A TRIAL GAME... FFS..

Bostons will be a lot better once Watho, Hully etc come back in and Tassies only really have MJ to make a difference..
T07, I think you answered your own questions with regard Marty, only a trial game so try things..
