MAN oh MAN, how insane was that?
I watched Wrestlemania with my son and that was pathetic compared to Lockdown.

Christian Cage dives off the top of the cage and then later in the match when there's a roof on the cage he and AJ fall off the top of a ladder which is on top of the cage onto a table, it was just completely INSANE!!!

I wasn't sure if I was watching UFC or wrestling in the main event.

Another top PPV, Im amazed how TNA keep upping the standard, can't wait for more!

TNA Sacrifice Results 2008
Credit : wrestlezone.com

RESULTS

The PPV opened with a video feature based on Scott Steiner vs. Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle for Joe's TNA title.

They went to video from 7:07 PM of Kurt Angle arriving via limo to the Impact Zone. Jeremy Borash said he was in Korea when Kurt was injured and asked Angle for an update. Angle said his doctor, Dr. Jho has advised him not to wrestle tonight due to the injury. Angle said that if it was up to him, he would wrestle, but he can't afford to do so because he has three cracked vertebrae in his neck. He said he won the Olympics with a broken neck and headlined Wrestlemania with a broken neck, but he's not 25 years old anymore and if his doctor tells him not to compete, he can't.

They then went to video of Scott Steiner arriving earlier today. Lauren asked Scott his thoughts on Angle not being able to wrestle. Scott said that he didn't know anything about Angle being hurt. He said that he was originally supposed to wrestle Samoa Joe in a singles bout, so it's interesting to see what was gone down, but he still doesn't trust Angle. Lauren was surprised to see not just Rick Steiner but Kevin Nash emerge from Scott's care.

They went to footage of Jeremy Borash catching Samoa Joe as he arrived at the venue. When asked about Kurt's injury, Joe said that he had heard rumors but now that it's official, it's a shame when anyone goes down to injury, even someone he has issues with. Borash asked Joe what he thought about Nash arriving with the Steiners. Joe looked stunned, then walked off.

Team 3D vs Storm & Sting
Storm and Sting argue over who will begin, and Storm will begin. He and Devon kick things off, and Storm slaps Devon in the back of the head. Devon charges at Storm, who fires back with rights, off the ropes and a flying shoulder block by Devon. Irish whip, corner splash and then a slam by Devon. Devon with an elbow drop off of the ropes and a cover for 2. Ray tags in, suplex on Storm and a cover for 2. Ray slaps Sting, just to piss him off which allows Storm to fight back. Jackie jumps in the ring, and Ray slaps her ass. She took a great bump.

Storm now wants to tag and Sting is in. Side headlock by Ray, off the ropes and a shoulder block levels Sting. Ray charges, takes a hip toss and Sting slams him down. A clothesline by Sting and Ray rolls to the floor. Devon tags in, test of strength and then a lock up. Side headlock by Devon, off the ropes and a shoulder block by Sting. Stomps by Sting to the hands of Devon and Storm and Sting argue, Ray in and 3D beat him down and choke him out. Elbows by Devon, face scrape, snap mare and a chinlock by Devon. Storm sits on the apron and drinks a beer. Devon in control with the chinlock, Sting battles out and Devon slams him down. To the 2nd rope, head butt connects for 2. Storm continues to sit and drink. Devon misses another head butt try, Sting fights back and gets a Stinger splash.

Ray in, whipped to Devon and Sting misses a splash, WASSUP HEAD BUTT connects and Devon goes for a table. Storm is on the floor and drinking still, Sting fights back and Storm is in now telling them to kill Sting! He sits on the second rope, and 3D walks away! Sting tosses him THROUGH the table, kind of, he was a bit short. Sting walks away and 3D pins Storm.

Winners: Team 3D

Backstage
Lauren asked Frank Trigg about Kurt Angle's injury. Trigg said he was concerned about the injury because Angle is someone who is known for taking risks and working with injuries, but after suffering the injury and trying to guy through it with rest and workouts, Angle had to pull out. It was a case of not giving the fans his best and being out for months, as opposed to hopefully just being out a few weeks. Lauren asked Trigg what he thought the outcome of the TNA title bout would be now. They were linking Trigg and Angle as friends as Trigg said that he was concerned about Angle's injuries after all Angle has done to help him prepare for MMA bouts. He predicted Joe.

Robert Roode & Booker T vs Rhino & Christian
Roode was furious when he found out Booker was his partner and security had to get between them, so it's two straight matches with dissension among partners, Christian and Roode went back and forth to open the bout. Roode took control and they put over that Roode didn't want to tag Booker, preferring to control the bout himself. Roode caught Cage in the corner with a clothesline, then hit the rolling snap mare.

Booker offered to tag and Roode ignored him. That led to Cage starting to fire back, but being caught with a spinebuster. Booker finally tagged in and went for the Axe kick but Cage avoided it and slammed him on the back of his head. Rhino tagged in but Booker caught him with a leg lariat. Roode blindtagged in as Booker was clotheslined to the floor. Roode took over on Rhino and went for the Payoff, but Rhino avoided and caught him with the gore for the pin.

He asked again whether he was seeing Karen. AJ said, "I'm not going to answer that. Take care of your neck."

BG and Super Eric to begin. A dropkick by Super Eric, and a cover for 2. AJ tags in, rights to BG and he is in control. Off the ropes, counters and a dropkick by AJ. BG tags in Kong! Lauren said every time the Steiners are together, there's trouble and wondered what type of support he was there to provide. Steiner said he was just there to be there for his brother and starting barking. Lauren looked like she had no idea what in the world he was doing. That was hysterical, in the wrong way.

The Terror Dome
Curry Man came out first for the Terrordome match. This structure looks like a plastic toy cage suitable for something found in a Lego's box at Toys R Us. More ring entrances took place for the generic X Division men. Tenay said they're all wearing gloves because it's tough to get a firm grip on the structure.

With all 10 men in the ring, Cornette came out on stage and said he wants to sweeten the pot. He said that with the injury to Kurt Angle, there's a spot open for the TNA Title match. Cornette said the winner is #1 Contender to the X Title and will take Angle's spot in the main event. The top was then lowered on top of the steel structure to start the match.

AJ Styles & Super Eric vs LAX
They claimed Styles hurt his mid-section during the finish of his opening match. Salinas was out for this match. Styles and Homicide started the match. They did some nice back and forth wrestling early - actually the best of the show thus far. It ended with both attempting a high cross bodyblock at the same time and colliding in mid-air.

Eric and Hernandez tagged in. Since Young is a Super Hero, Hernandez sold for him like he was a super heavyweight. He knocked Hernandez through the ropes and teased a dive, but when he went for it, Hernandez hit a shoulderblock into the ring. Homicide fought it off and nailed the Ace Crusher. Eric hit a sledgehammer off the ropes on Homicide. Hernandez took Young out with a clothesline.

Styles rolled up Homicide with a small package. Salinas distracted the referee, allowing Guerrero to lie, cheat and steal by turning Homicide over. The referee counted the pin, although Styles' shoulder was off the mat the entire pinfall.

Winners: LAX

Backstage:
Lauren interviewed "members of Samoa Joe's kin." They said that Joe had the support of the entire Samoan Nation. They noted that they weren't wrestlers but would get involved if needed. BAD IDEA. The last thing we need is a Samoan version of the "Latino Nation."

He said Joe needs to use his brain. Joe didn't want to hear it, saying he knows how Nash operates. Nash said he would stay in the locker room until Joe gave him the sign to come out. Joe told Nash that if he came to ringside, he was on the other side and Joe would break him.

They showed rock band "Saving Abel" at ringside.

They cut backstage to show Scott Steiner flexing in the hallway on the way to the ring. After a video package aired on Steiner's career, Frank Trigg joined the broadcast position while Steiner and his crew came to the ring. Samoa Joe was shown walking alone backstage before a video package aired on his title reign. Joe's family then did their traditional dance on stage before Joe walked to the ring.

They finally did the in-ring introduction and at 10:40 we are ready to go!

They started off hot. Joe nailed Steiner with an enziguiri, then nailed Kaz with a kick. He clotheslined Steiner down. Kaz tried to fire off the ropes with a bodypress but Joe just walked off. He whipped Joe into the guard rail, then clotheslined Kaz on the floor. Steiner suplexed Joe on the ramp but didn't really get him over all the way and Joe looked to have smacked the back of his head on the ramp.

Steiner tossed Kaz back into the ring and worked on him. He saw Joe returning to the ring, so he knocked Joe back to the floor. Steiner hit a Fall Away Slam on Kaz but Joe broke up the pinfall. Joe whipped Steiner into the corner but Steiner got his boot up. Steiner hit a belly to belly overhead suplex on Kaz. Steiner drilled Kaz into the top turnbuckle. He locked in the Steiner Recliner on Joe. Joe fought his way to his feet with Steiner on his shoulders. Kaz, who was still on the top, hit a missile dropkick on Steiner.

Joe and Steiner recovered first. They exchanged punches. Joe caught Steiner with a snap powerbomb. Steiner was knocked to the floor. Joe went for a dive out of the ring but Steiner nailed him with a lead pipe, hurting Joe's shoulder. Kaz nailed a dive out of the ring on Steiner.

Kaz tossed Steiner back into the ring for a two count. He springboaded into the ring, nailing a DDT on Steiner. Kaz hit a sweet dropkick on Steiner. Kaz went to the top but Petey Williams crotched him on the ropes. Frank Trigg got off a great line saying, "Ref didn't see it, I didn't hear it." Steiner hit a top rope Frankensteiner on Kaz. He covered Kaz and Joe just noly made the save, returning to the ring to break up the count.

Joe caught Steiner with an elbow then nailed a leg lariat on Steiner. He hit a front leg whip on Kaz, followed by a senton. He hit the snap slam on Steiner for a two count. Joe locked in a choke on Steiner. Kaz tried to hit a leaping kick but Joe moved then slammed Kaz. Joe and Steiner battled on the apron. Steiner battled him off and they fell into the ring with Steiner on top. Kaz kicked up out of a pinfall attempt.

They battled back on top and Steiner shoved Kaz to the floor. Joe grabbed Steiner from the top and nailed the muscle buster for the clean pin.

Kaz in a main event? :?

No doubt they knew Angle wouldn't be able to be on the event, "Card subject to change" certainly coming into play. Not overly surprising about Angle, it's amazing he has lasted this long without his neck problems playing up. He surely doesn't have much longer before he'll need to retire.

PS If you get Judgment Day next week, keep an eye out for me wearing a yellow Aussie cricket shirt, about 5 rows back from where JR and the King will be sitting.

Watched the TNA PPV, highlights were the incredible X division match in the Terror Dome (except for the result as Kaz annoys me), LAX winning their belts back and Awesome Kong teaming with BG James.
Main event was a let down but it couldn't be helped with Kurt having to pull out.

I've never understood female matches where the loser gets their head shaved, who really wants to see an attractive female wrestler made uglier?

I wont spoil tonights impact for everyone  .But you have to listen to the Beautiful Peoples interview before their tag match against ODB and Roxxi .It is a classic HEEL wrestling interview.
And when you have watched impact tell me if the injured wrestler who was injured in there match is really injured .
I must add I am enjoying the way TNA is letting their womens division just go and grow on its own .

Cheers
