Cab? Get frustrated? Naaaaaah, I don't believe it...

Bet you're glad you're rid of him. What a tosser, thinks he's an AFL coach the way he carries on up in his 'box'!!

Hey scorpion, i bet every coach in every grade would love to have an elevated coaches box, look at seaton they have an elevated coaches box, it is alot better to watch footy from, and you can see the whole ovasl alot better.

As far as him carrying on in the box, every coach has his own style some hate iot and some like it, but at the end of the day HE GOT THE JOB DONE.........!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Hectorville definitely didn't use him to their advantage as well as they could have.

I spoke to him during the game and he reckons there will be a couple of young Sturt players who are likely to be in and out of the side through out the year. Only problem is will they be able to rely on these guys to be there when they need them most.

It was unfortunate that the big full forward went down. A target like that will certainly be missed if he's out for too long!

HV definitely worked well all across the oval. It was very good to see, especially with so many new players in the side. It was probably the first time we had our near full strenghth side on the oval at once together. Will be nice to have either one or both of our rucks out on the ground next time! Not bad that we had 5 other blokes to throw in there to fill the void though!

JB or Olsen? What happened?

JB got tackled after picking up a spoiled shot on goal around the goal square. He managed to get boot to ball (and kicked the goal) but badly twisted his ankle (i believe) on the way down. He didn't make it back out on the ground.
If i'm not playing football then i'm probably watching it, otherwise i'm at least thinking about it!

Strap it heavily and leave the big fella in the square, probably still kick a bag :D

That's some bad luck though and frustrating to be injured in the first game after a long pre-season. No harm in resting for a game or two when it's so early in the season though.

I wouldnt say its elevated, but into the hill sort of. If I remember correctly on that side the oval is below the top road level. I guess then it is elevated. Anyway....

Okay, I'm tipping the same as everyone else, so to spice it up I added some cliched commentary...

Glenunga vs Westminster Is Webb Oval in grubby condition? Probably won't phase the college lads who will have too much class for the potential cellar dwellars
Hectorville vs Lockleys Hounds would be gunning for their first victory, too tall and strong for a young Lockleys side
Colonel Light Gardens vs Brahma Lodge Lions would be livid with a last quarter fade-out, should make up for it this weekend
Trinity OS vs Houghton Looking forward to seeing who is still playing from 2006
West Croydon vs Hope Valley Demons the measuring stick of Div 6? Hawks will be happy to be back on their own turf, but I think the HV lads will excel on a large ground.

Our match day official pulled you guys up on that because the bloke didn't go through the marked area, just a friendly reminder of the rules.

I agree with you on Rowell episode, not sure what will come out of that. Our bloke allegedly didnt go through the marked area.

Glenunga v Westminster - Think westminster will win in a close one
Hectorville v Lockleys - Heccies to win comfortably on their home turf
CLG v Brahma Lodge - CLG by plenty
Trinity v Houghton - Big road trip for houghton - still think will get over the line
West Croydon v Hope Valley - always tough down there, but think HV should win by about 6
