I can't see Jared East winning the medal. He won,t play good footy all year.

He only needs to have about 8 BOGs to win the APFL medal.
Definately a chance after Saturday's performance!

played well in the reserves, Mallala have one too many imports and unfortunately it was his turn to miss on Sat. There is talk he may be moving in with a local player at Mallala which will be great for him and Mallala. Deserves to be playing A's for sure and his chance is not far away.

Surely this is not the same Reece Kerr from South Gawler - i didnt know he had even left. Did he go across with Rimmer?

At south he was a decent B grader at best...

pint of ale? wrote:Great game at Mallala on Saturday. Tiger's just held off the fast finishing pies to win by a couple goals. It was a fairly hard game first up with plenty of big hits, I reckon there would've been some sore body's yesterday (I'm still struggling to walk  ). I thought Pym was good down back for the tigers and serle showed some good signs when he was moved onto the ball. Spider Sharman tried hard all day in the ruck and big Dangles was a rock at fullback. For Mallala it was the usual Monty's, Earl and Whitty that did the damage and the new guy Rimmer looks handy. I think they'll be some great games between these two teams this year, the rivalry just keeps getting stronger!

Anyone see the Eagles Balak game?

Yes nice to see the Pint himself dishing a bit up too, i can recall a guilty looking "pint of ale" jogging away from a sore blood nutted montgomerie on the south eastern flank there at some stage. Certainly was a bit of nudge behind the play, imagine if we had an official that had a clue what was actually happening during that game. Nah just kidding they were absolutely flawless the men in white. :D
Just on that, if anyone can possibly shed some light on the reasons why Doug Tallboy was umpiring senior colts on sat and not the A grade match of the round, id be all ears :? :?
Tigers too good all over the ground, scoreboard flattered the magpies a great deal :(

Does Doug Tallboy umpire out there? I had him all the way through the juniors in the CDJFL, great bloke and possibly the best umpire I've seen around...

What's the latest in the Willy Serle saga? Apparently he signed with Kilburn but was refused a clearance and lined up at Longies on Saturday. Is he playing the year out there? Is he travelling down from Roxby each week or has he moved back this way?

Yeah, mate came with Rimmer and he has a few mates over here. Not sure about branding him as a B grader at best, if that the mentality of south gawler then id suggest that to be one of the main reasons he is no longer out there. He kicked 8 in the A grade trial last week vs Berri so he can play.

Doug is still arond and yes he is clearly the best umpire in our league, great character on the field.

I've got alot of time for Dougy Tallboy. He's the one umpire who can take shit and give it back just as good.
Definately the best umpire in the League.

One of the umpires in the Reserves United/Maggies match thought it was Friday night footy at the 'G'.
Never seen so many ordinary free kicks in my life!

Surely if he bagged 8 in a trial match he would have been a walk up in the A grade? Is pace an issue?

Come on swampie the pint always plays within the rules. It was a bone crunching shepard though  . Have to agree about Doug he could have done a better job umpiring the A's by himself (he always looks after me too  ).

I'm sure he'll get his chance soon, Berri were average and he would be in if he were local.
