Good win to Ironbank just, good rivalry now between clubs during the match.
Other clubs should look out for the new umpiring director if you get him it seems the rules at Southern are different ot ours very tiggy touchwood. :?
Although same as the first few rounds last season do not put a body part near anyone's back.

forum. Interesting results.
Looks like alot of the rumours are true. Uri's slip under the preseason radar again. haven't lost anyone with all playing except maybe kain maclean (the sloth himself!)

Hahndorf lived up to expectations with a good win with all the recruits featuring in the best players!
Early tip for me is that the mail medal will go to a hahndorf player. I am picking nicholas himself as if my guess is correct there is probably not one ruckmen playing in the hills besides nicholas. If so he will win it, and off course he will feed the onballers in alfie, coops and kaesler (the piglet). All guns and will dominate with nicholas feeding it to them.

Onkas and Ironbank a good hit out, and they seem to be on par. I am guessing that onkas, lofty, blackwood and ironbank games will all be great games! Very close standard between them is an early tip. Lofty will only improve with some young players stepping up.

Prediction for ladder.
Hahndorf
Uri's
Ironbank
Lofty
Blackwood
Onkas
Mt Barker
Bridgewater
Birdwood
Lobethal

You can swap uri's and hahndorf for the top two, then you can swap any of the next 5. So it will be great to see the finals race at the end of the year!
Looking forward to seeing how the year progresses guys.
Keep the information coming through with regards to all the matches.

How was the umpiring?? Did the league have enough numbers for the B's??

Any truth to rumors there were a couple of fairly dirty incidents at Uraidla yesterday, carried out by the home team?

Apparently 1 resulted in a red card, and the other a concussion to a younger Devils player?

and i'm sure mt.lofty would've been completely blameless...innocent victims no doubt. in fact, it's probably the entire reason Uraidla won the match!!

OK, first of all, I now realise Mt Lofty was the home team, but my question remains, was there anything malicious in the red card and the concussion?

And Rooster....go eat some ass and win a game of footy before you start being a smart prick. It was a fair question you chop.

Understand the Big O wants a 10 team C grade comp and Bridgey and Kersbrook ARE joining in.......think it'll be tough for them competing against Blackwood's 'C' grade.

I've changed my mind on Hahndorf!! Their midfield is the best I've seen play in the Hills and if they can keep those guys fit & firing they will finish top 3 easily!! It showed in their best players that they were a class above eveyone else on the field and with Big Bish up forward they will take it right up to the top sides.

As for the B's it was a great close game with Hahndorf, pity it was ruined by a Hahndorf "ledgend" wearing an orange top   he shouldn't be allowed to umpire Hahndorf games if he is an HFL panel umpire.

I wouldn't be too worried if I were a Lofty supporter. Artis, Wood & Cutting didn't play. Bawden & Floreani didn't play either but were not named in the budget. Heard whispers Saturday though that these two may be back playing in the not to distant future. Game was scrappy and in the end I thought the result flattered Lofty a bit. Uraidla should have won by a lot more.

Lofty struggled up forward all day and don't have anyone up forward capable of kicking a bag. Fleet lined up at Full Forward and was smashed. The guy looked way out of his depth and didn't even provide a contest.

Also heard on Saturday that Joel Brown has flown the coop from Uraidla and is not playing footy at all this season. Can anyone confirm this?

A Bridgewater player recieved a very serious injury as a result of a dirty cowardly act by a blackwood player behind the play. Bridgewater have conclusive video footage of the incident and I believe a report has been layed. If the league are serious about this, the wank that threw the elbow should get the book thrown at him, 10 at least. Raider people not real happy and you can expect repercussion the next time the teams play.

Thanks Newman, yeah heard it was a terrible act by the Blackwood player.

DA Alksne was the only one who was really did anything dirty and deserves whatever he gets for blatantly smacking Michael O'Connor.
