Any comments about the Virginia trial on the weekend against Paralowie? I heard that Virginia only got over the line by around 6 goals but the thing is I thought that Paralowie were Div 6 or 7? Surely they would've been after a higher winning margin or were there a few not playing this close to the season etc?

I have heard that David Kelliet has told Virginia that if he dosen't play for Willaston in the Barossa then he will play for Virginia.

I think Mallala might knock off the tigers this week. United have a definate height advantage but I think Mallala's midfield might be too quick and fit especially if there's a bit of rain. I have a few mates at United and have heard that quite a few tiger players have had interupted preseasons and might not be as fit as they should be. Mallala by about 4 goals.

Haven't heard much about Hummocks or Balak during the preseason so i'm tipping a draw.

Just heard that Jared East has been picked in United's A grade team this week. This guy is an absolute gun!!! He will dominate the competition this year. I feel sorry for anyone that has to play against him. I think I can safely say that the great man will easily win the medal this year. Poor bugger has red hair though.

I remember seeing the star with the helmet streaming out from the goal square for the first time in the colts. Why wasn't he drafted How could Mallala have ever let him go?

Yep the J-Rod will be firing on all cylinders this week. Expect plenty of red flashes of brilliance on the wing. He'll kick 5!

Who is this bloke?

Would have thought with the Quinten Grahams and Michael Daveys as well as the odd Broad and a couple of Pyms some bloke with red hair would be the least of concerns.
Sorry people I only deal in facts!

J-Rod East. Will be firing on all cylinders. Some of these comments are probably what United selectors are looking for. Who is he??
Just what they want i reckon for Mallala to not man him up and J-Rod to dominate with his silky skills and athleticism not to mention the odd screamer of a mark. Heard he has put on some weight too so he will be looking to bust up the occasional pack with pure size!
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Swampy last seen tearing his hair out thinking of a game plan to combat the J-Rod. Double team him? Sacrifice the next best redhead on the ground J.Mont? or will it be Matt Head's Job to shut down this machine?

Congratulations JRod on POSTING your first A grade game mate, resemblance of a young lean Cameron Ling as a youngster. Regretful departure from Magpie land, with salary cap issues. Probably should have applied himself and could have had an impact in town this year. Apparently the Bays and Mark Mickan were persuing the POSTMAN as a relacement for John Fidge but full credit to JRod who's loyalty to his local club is admirable. Can certainly play the game, Im sure he'll STAMP his authority on the game early.

Great game at Mallala on Saturday. Tiger's just held off the fast finishing pies to win by a couple goals. It was a fairly hard game first up with plenty of big hits, I reckon there would've been some sore body's yesterday (I'm still struggling to walk  ). I thought Pym was good down back for the tigers and serle showed some good signs when he was moved onto the ball. Spider Sharman tried hard all day in the ruck and big Dangles was a rock at fullback. For Mallala it was the usual Monty's, Earl and Whitty that did the damage and the new guy Rimmer looks handy. I think they'll be some great games between these two teams this year, the rivalry just keeps getting stronger!

Let's not forget about the great man J-Rod East either. It was great to see that red hair flashing down the wing. He looks at home in the A's and looks set for a stellar season. Go the raging ranger!

Anyone see the Eagles Balak game?
