I don't have any scores, but it was recorded in "North's Record-Making Year - The Story of North Adelaide Football Club's 1952 Premiership Year" that - The N.A. Senior Colts were third in their competition, losing to Norwood by 3 points in the Preliminary Final as a curtain-raiser to the League Grand Final

What about the Football Budget, are they any help?

They have:
S.A. football budget: 2 May 14 to 18 Sept 1915
S.A. footballer: 3 May 1919 - 2 Oct 1926
South Australian football budget: 1927-37, 1938 (microfilm), 1939-42, then they have scattered ones from 1945 to 1950. None from 1951, but all copies from 1952 to 1990. None from 1991 for some reason, but then they have 1992-1999. Then from Round 20 2002 onwards.
I got onto the SANFL to look at the ones the State Library didn't have.
I'll be there tomorrow as I said, and I'll retrieve the budgets from 1952 to 1962 and see if I can come up with some of the info you require.

For memory, they used to record scores (qtr x qtr) of all grades, so it may be worth your while asking them to retrieve the years you are missing. It was an excellent newspaper for SA football.

That's an even better idea, thank you again! The only problem is, how they are kept. Because if I ask for two months worth, they may say no because they have a limit on how much I can ask for - each edition may be seperate, rather than in a binder.

2 things.
What terrific depth Port had winning 6 senior and 5 reserves flags in a row in the 50's......
The tables also reminded me of how well Norwoods junior sides went in the 80's.
