So i would think that most clubs have had their presos by now so do most clubs have an 'A' grader of the year style award. No suprises with ours as it was comprehensively won by Robbie Hopkins ahead of Jake Whenan and Todd Roberts.

16 year old Chris Lipson won North Havens A grade medal with 13 votes, great effort for a kid, great temprament and good bloke too! A has been came second with 12 and Paul Tam came third with 11 votes a close finish with it coming down to the last round.

Matt Smith for Coro Ramblers, but with at least 6 or 7 genuine A Grade players making their A Grade debut throughout the season it should be a tight contest next year. Look for a more consistent ramblers side.

With Presos night 2 weeks away who is everyones tip for the Hewett Medal? Just from the stats i think Robbie Hopkins would be a fair chance of winning it.

Even though i rate Robbie the BEST cricketer in the association, it hasnt been his most dominant year, with Toddy Roberts back and taking wicketsand young Whenan making runs, i think they might steal a few off Robbie, that is why i think Robbie Drenthen from Mitchell Park might win it because he took over 40 wickets and scored 200 odd runs and nobody to steal votes off him, and i think Shane Ferris from Wesminster will also poll well, he took alot of 5fas.

The short chubby bloke that bowls 1st change from North Haven might be in for a show, got wickets at the right time of games and also scored some handy runs

I would think Drenthen has already cleared a spot in the trophy cabinet.....the only reason he might not win is the lack of games won by Mitchell Park.

I agree drenthen and hopkins would be the two favourites but i think Smithy from the ramblers would also rate highly he has had a good year. Our game against Mitchell Pk will be interesting for votes.
Drenthen took 8 fa 50
Robbie Hopkins took 4 fa 25 and made 20 out off 140
Jake Whenan made 66 out of our 140
and Todd Roberts took 6 fa 10

With a WYC win does Drenthen get votes? who misses out i don't know but my votes would go to, not in any particular order.
Whenan
Drenthen
Roberts

If everyone in the comp batted 17 times they would make 200 as well the bloke can bowl but can't bat to save himself.

I reckon an 8 for and a 6 for are better than 66, even if the rest of the team only made 70. I reckon Jake must have kept his head down a litle better that day than what he did against the ramblers!

When is the count, pretty soon isn't it?

i will throw in a dark horse. Short left handed batsman from morphie parks. Break through season hitting 450 plus runs in a tough year. Grant Whellum. Not too many votes to be taken away from him imoa.
