Yeah i heard this a couple of weeks ago, not sure why never an issue before. Amatuer league i think contacted Houghton as they are the ones that would need to change their guernseys. I dont think they should have to though.

Why do they have to? Does it go by which team was here first?

You blokes have played quite a few times without any problems. Or has it been a problem and nothing really done about it until now?

They are similar in a way, but it's not like the pace is so fast you won't be able to tell who's who??

Hopefully we'll have an answer today from SAAFL regarding the supposed guernsey clash and our objection to wearing an alternate strip. One of few colour choices was a purple and yellow guernsey

If you look through last years program, it has information for each club and in it states guernsey clashes. For Houghton it says 'none', for West Croyden it says Modbury. Why has it suddenly changed? Bureaucratic madness. Thanks for the words of support.

I had a phone call from I think it was your President a few weeks ago when the clashes came out. I explained to him that I don't understand how SAAFL can make a different decision on something that hasn't changed. Neither club have changed their guernseys and last year it was not deemed a clash. Same colours, but way different jumper designs. The socks may be a clash, but as SDemon clearly pointed out it's not like the game moves THAT fast that you can't see who is who! I told him we would support his approach to SAAFL if needed.
And hey - Axe, shut up....
