Langhorne Creek had a good hitout against Morphett Vale yesterday. I think the final scoreline was Morphett Vale 15.14 to L/Creek 10.12 which was a pretty pleasing outcome given the Hawks were without Golding, Hill, Dellatorre, Matt & Tim Footner, Rothe & Chandler who were all unavailable due to weddings, work and various niggles. Morphett Vale came from about 5 goals down to win the B's by 2 or 3 goals.

You could argue that not honouring your contract is also illegal...

The Tigers were the first team to win from 5th in the GSFL.

Its about the only thing that we have to hang our hat on these days and looking at another thread most of the 86 team could still get a game at the Tigers.

Are the Tigers on the endangered list yet.

Better players for the Saints were Ferguson, Trent Griffen, Campbell and Brad Yeomans. The biggest disappointment for the day was the lack of interest in the b's who got slaughtered. The Saints will need to remain injury free to be competitive.

LF, I see that the better players for the saints were guys from last year. There have been a lot of talk about there recruits and was just wondering how they were shaping up.

New guys for the Saints that played yesterday went ok. Hayden Wilson competed well, Adam Wilson won plenty of the ball, Todd Russell good in and under but needs more fitness and John Jared was better than the week before.

Sorry Cuzzy, but just don't see Myponga getting up over Mt Compass. Let's hope for Princi they prove me wrong but I wouldn't be betting on it.
LF, totally agree with your tipping there.
Ben Warren had a pretty good game by the looks of things kicking 5 against the Maggies on the weekend. Just imagine if Langhorne did get him!!!!

Fair effort by the Creek. Everyone is writing them off, yet to push Morphies is a fair effort with those outs. Jury is out on the Creek, I reckon and their match against Victor should be the match of the day. Winners for round 1 will be Willunga defeat McLaren at night by 7 goals, Compass to win over Pongy by 10 goals, Bays to beat Yank by 8 goals, Strath to beat Saints by 4 goals and Creek to roll Victor by 2 goals. Saints better watch out for the big fella up forward in Burgess (goalkicking machine) and Sammy McDonald (class act in the middle).
