Who are these 'gun' recruits Micky? Uraidla have not picked up anyone other than some mates of current players plus a few senior colts who have come up from last years Grand Final side.

Mine too! As a well entrenched B grade player, hopefully this means we will have some panel umpires this year. Last year was too inconsistant with the club umpires; i know they did some minimal training but you never knew what you were going to get each week.
Before you all say this may also be true for any umpires, hopefully there will be some more consistency e.g. hands in the back rule.
I think the umpires in general do a great job, but we can still want the best!

Umpys start and end the game - lets leave it at that!

In fairness some are quite good and everyone already knows them but guess they are also like a football team - you have good players and then some who just make up the numbers!

By all accounts, the Devs thumped Chrisites Beach by 20+ goals in the A's and the Super B's had a 3 goal win.

Not sure what standard Christies are, but it's good to have a win heading into round 1.

Go you Devils!

comments from the SFL thread for you DA

bazzw wrote:Could be a long season for Christies Beach judging by tonights efforts against Mt Lofty, only kicking 5 goals between the senior colts, b grade and a grade. Both senior sides didnt manage a goal until the 3rd quarter

lovetotalkfooty wrote:by all regards most have picked christies beach to not be around the mark. Was there any positives that could be taken out of the game for christies beach? Any players that went alright??

ronburgandy wrote:chrisities beach were terribale. no players really stood out at all in a grade. one young player in the back lines did ok but had no support. cant remember his number. they looked very unfit. would say that it could be a long year for them.

but marion not tipped to make the 8 either. about 10th out of 14 teams and christies 12th
