I think you will find it was just the FD and some players who were watching SDemon, again ur just assuming things and being a smartass, it was one of 4 games we watched yesterday.
Kersbrook we very good in that 1st quarter, they are a very very well drilled team, West Croyden looked like they had a lot of A graders out of their squad and I only saw the last few minutes of the lockleys game, so no real comment there.
SDemon I know you have better players to come into that A grade squad, you definately have some talls though .............

S Demon21 wrote:Left the Houghton v Greenacres game at half time with Greenies about 8 goals up. Wasn't all that exciting to watch (like most trials i guess). Not sure of the final score. Houghton looked like they had a very similar side to last year, with their big ruckman and maybe a couple others still to come back in.
Houghton were doing well in the centre, but breaking down across half forward/full forward with starry showing the obvious effects of a big weekend cricket trip. Greenies looked a lot cleaner around the ground and had a bit more system to the way they went about it. Greenies looked a much fitter side and i reckon they might have run away with it a bit in the second half

A grade lost by about 10 goals. Kersbrook very good in first quarter. ball barely got to our fwds. heccies showed good signs in 2nd half tho. started getting run and hit jb on the lead. always hard to tell in trials with both teams rotating players. i played midfield for the first time in a few years
No disgrace losing to kersy's by 10. We played them a few years ago and got a bit of a shock at the result. Very well drilled side and obviously play at a higher standard than probably div 4??
Would say they around a decent div 4 team, had some very good players in their team, heccies 2nd half was alot better would of been only 1-2 goal difference but maybe that because the coached put on 8 fresh players after the break...was dissapointing 2 see the huge mess the kersbrook fans left behind

Kersbrook smashed Hope Valley by 20 goals a couple of years back, and Hectorville put up more of a fight. Roger James didn't play on Saturday and only will spasmodically for the Brookers due to Rooster Coaching commitments, while Brett James only played a half before observing from the Bench. From what the Brookers saw, most players think that Heccys will go alright in Div 6, and wouldn't surprise going up a grade after this season. Dissapointing to hear criticism of Kersbrook supporters, considering most of the Heccy's faithful were impressed with our usage of the Home Team's Bar after the Game.

D-Quiche wrote:Kersbrook played very classy football from what I saw of first quarter and a half, but have seen you lads train a couple of times and expected so. No harm in the heccies lads playing against such quality football, much to be gleaned.
Who are the Brookers playing first round? Hopefully get a big crowd at Houghton for that, I know there'll be several of us lads there to adopt you as our team for the day.
