What chance have the Roo's got Dutchy of finishing above Essendon when they can't beat them even with no Lucas?

I was at the Dome today. It was admirable that Knights stuck with the run-and-gun approach - I wonder how many touch ups it will take for him to revert to something a little more defensive?

Was it just me or did the crowd have something against Matthew Lloyd?

Lloyd certainly got some bronx cheers, but not as much as Adam McPhee.

Wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

I am the first Bombers fan to put his hand up and say i have egg on my face.

Knights has put the kids in with speed and from todays great effort i applaude what he has done pre-season and against the kangaroo's today, might not go top or even make the eight but when i see a side play that brand of football it excites and gives you hope as a supporter.

I think a few other posters should read also what they posted and get a wet flanel and start wiping the egg of their face

LMAO....plenty of wooden spooners have won their first game of the season!.....Essendon wernt good, Roos were very poor....pace of young kids is good but lets see if they have the same pace in July...

Why were ROO'S very poor Dutchy? Essendon made them look poor.
Give some credit where its due pal, your sounding like alot of those feral Port Magpies supporters that know nothing about football, aswell as coaching, all they want to do is SLAG Knightsy when they can.
Its only first round yeh but this bloke has them playing an exciting brand of footy & thats what we all want to see when we go to a footy game.

Where No Mercy?

As I said, Roos were very very poor last week and I think todays results confirmed that...

But you still never gave credit where it was due Dutchy. Poor form if you want to slag them off the next week, IMO.

I'm here & yes Essendon were very poor yesty, i will give credit where its due, Geelong were magnificent.

Who would of beaten Geelong? Essendon were killed in centre clearances, geelong were so much stronger in & around the contest, they were far more efficient & effective with their use of the ball & their decision making well... Under pressure or not they toyed with Essendon all day choosing the right option correctly, they simply had more that wanted the hard ball & always outnumbered Essendon with support.

What will they do to Melbourne this week?
They may well kick 40+ goals.

the bombers got flogged yes by a well drilled team "Geelong" but i think if they stick to that game iron out a few skill errors and the bombers will hand out a few drumbings themselvs and yes they may get handed a few to but they are young and will learn learn from them.

Essendon were poor hmm actually no, they looked alright when they had the ball.....Its just they didnt really have much of it ;).
The Cats were excellent and im not sure what team in the AFL would have stood up to that onslaught.
